B. REASON
(1) History
This Service Bulletin is issued further to an operator's request.
(2) Objective/Action
The modification consists in:
- Replacing or installing the two Datalink Control and Display Unit (DCDUs) (FIN
2TX1 and FIN 2TX2).
If the DCDUs were not previously installed, then the modification consists in:
- Removing the safety clips from the DCDU circuit breakers (6TX1 and 6TX2)
- Activating the Air Traffic Control (ATC) message (MSG) Pushbutton Switches (P/
B SW) on the Captain (CAPT) and First Officer (F/O) Glareshield Electrical Panel
131VU and Electrical Panel 130VU (the Inoperative (INOP) placard above each P/
B SW will be removed)
- Activating the DCDU pin programming, modifying the Flight Warning Computer
(FWC) pin programming and adding the Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) pin
programming.
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin fulfills the operator's request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
None

C. REASON
(1) History
This Service Bulletin is issued further to an operator's request.
(2) Objective/Action
The modification consists in:
- Replacing or installing the two Datalink Control and Display Unit (DCDUs) (FIN
2TX1 and FIN 2TX2).
If the DCDUs were not previously installed, then the modification consists in:
- Removing the safety clips from the DCDU circuit breakers (6TX1 and 6TX2)
- Activating the Air Traffic Control (ATC) message (MSG) Pushbutton Switches (P/
B SW) on the Captain (CAPT) and First Officer (F/O) Glareshield Electrical Panel
131VU and Electrical Panel 130VU (the Inoperative (INOP) placard above each P/
B SW will be removed)
- Activating the DCDU pin programming, modifying the Flight Warning Computer
(FWC) pin programming and adding the Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) pin
programming.
(3) Advantages

(b) For the FWC-1 (FIN 1WW1) wiring parity, before any disconnection, record the
figure number of the hook-up chart on which lines 1 and 2 agree with the aircraft
wiring configuration, refer to Ref. Fig. HH and Ref. Fig. HI.
(c) For the FWC-2 (FIN 1WW2) wiring parity, before any disconnection, record the
figure number of the hook-up chart on which lines 1 and 2 agree with the aircraft
