2. Where did they get money to build a clinic? Where is the clinic?
👉 The clinic is in Zanempilo about 25 kilometers from King Williams town. The money in building the
clinic came from church, abroad. From black people. Even some companies give them some money.
👉 Women with small children, old men, pregnant women. The clinic for black people, with black
workers, and black doctors.
5. How many children does Woods have? How many boys and girls? What are their manes? What
is his wifes name? Dog name?
👉 Woods has five children, with three boys and two girls. The boys name are Ducan, Dillon, and Garvin.
As for the girls their name are Mary and Jane. His wife is Wendy. Charlie is their dog.
👉 There are five men in the back seat and four men in the front seat of the Black taxi.
7. Explain in your own words when they go on foot in the black community?
👉 Well, I would begin by saying that the atmosphere of the Black community was rough, violent, and
surprisingly, most of the people were mixed with poverty and hunger. It was just like another part of the
world. In addition to that, talking about social security as well as welfare treatment beyond the
acceptable standard this is what I can say, not to mention about the education of the children in the
community. Compare to the white and rich liberal, the life of the black people in the black community
were cheaper than a dog. I would like to apologize for using such a strong word to describe it. I was too
emotional by the situation I have read also learnt from this true story.
8. Whose house did Biko take Woods to eat? What is Tenjy Mtintso? How many members are
there in her family? Who are they?
👉 Biko takes Woods to home of Tenjy Mtinso to eat. A tiny, pretty girl with the age of 20, who worked
as a nurse at the clinic in Zanempilo. Her family was a big one: farther, mother, son, aunt, uncle and
three children; four other cousins.
9. What does it mean by Bikos remark I am going to be me- as I am- and you can put me in prison,
or even kill me, but Im not going to be what you want me to be?
👉 Bikos remark means he will not sell out himself either his conscience to pleased someone or
something that he thought was wrong and incorrect. Through his remark, he is a kind of a man who
willing to sacrifices everything including his life just to do things what he thought was right.
10. What do Biko and Woods mention at the end of unit 5?
👉 At the end of unit 5 Woods and Biko mention about the war. Woods started with the tribal war and
Biko challenges Woods to a World War I and II. And they also argued on the equality between the black
men and the white men.
