I. We had always a reason to be proud of our own country.Philippines has many natural resources. But
one of the best resources of the Philippines is the Filipino itself. I can say that, the behavior of Filipinos
was really different. We are not just hospitable, cheerful and religious. We can love and care for too
much. If we are not loving, EDSA, GK, and any other daily miracles that are becoming lights in our
country will not happen.
II. The sad thing to think about: In our beautiful and fascinating country there are still people behind it
who have hidden suffering. Why does it need to happen. Why corruption continues, while many families
are suffering of poverty. Maybe we have our freedom right now but the saddest part is we're still in a jail
in a country rather, that is full of corruption.
(CHORUS). We had always our freedom. That is in our Constitution (even if it is changed, it will not be
lost in the Bill of Rights). This freedom has implications: every Filipino should be free to live in peace.
Every Filipino had a safety under our law. We cannot be oppressed by anyone for no reason. Our
country has an identity: Republic of the Philippines, free from occupation and ownership by other
powerful people. The Philippines is not the property of a single person or family or group. Our
government must serve the whole country and not just the interests of the few. And the people must
act in way that will uplift the dignity of our people. It is important that we promote the rights of every
Filipino and the identity of the people. Even in q small thing like our own lives we have to please, lose a
little freedom because of work or study or poverty we complain, why can we not also fight for our
neighbor and country.
