II. Computation and Analysis:

1. Using Table 1 with angle of inclination of 900, construct a distance-time graph of

the motion of the ball bearing. From the plotted points, predict the relationship
between the distance and time.

2. Solve the slope of the distance-time graph you constructed for item #1 using the
equation: slope=(rise /run). Get the slope by using several pair of points, at least
three pairs of points.

3. What is the slope? Is it a constant? What does it mean if it is constant? What does
it mean if it is not constant?

4. What relationship exists between distance and time?

5. What relationship exists between speed and time?

6. Compute its slope for the distance-time graph (angle of inclination, 90 0), and its
corresponding y-intercept using the principles of Least Squares and compare it
with the slope calculated in #2. Write your answer below and use the back page
if necessary.

7. What does the slope calculated in item #6 represent?

8. Calculate the standard deviation of the slope.

9. Obtain another distance-time graph of the motion of the ball bearing, using same
axis, with a new distance values obtained from the methods of least squares. As
your guide, fill up table 2.

(using the equation: slope=(rise /run) ) for each of the angle. (Get the slope by
using several pair of points, at least three pairs of points). Show your solutions
