audience. He said he was really stunned by the final program, The Opening of Heaven’s Gates. He felt
like he was in the scene, experiencing Gods’ and Buddhas’ painstaking efforts to save the world's
people.

Dr. Zhong recalled his feelings. “I felt quite stunned and touched. Although I study science, when I saw
sentient beings were saved [by the divine], I was very moved. Good people must be guarded by the
divine.”

He was also most impressed by the dance Min Nan Grace, commenting on the simple and modest
dress, and the simplicity and the gracefulness of the performers, and its background landscape of
southern China. He said that the dance of the ancient Yi ethnic group, My Beloved Yi Village, was very
unique, “These are dances rarely seen. They are quite precious.”

The program Manchurian Elegance, was also one that struck him. He said, “It’s very interesting. I
particularly noted that the way the performers walked was very graceful and elegant. Their dancing,
gestures, form, bearing, and techniques are superb. It is not what common people can do.”

He stressed that the Chinese history is broad and profound, but Shen Yun represented the essence of
Chinese culture in just two hours. “The female performers expressed the gentle and graceful
deportment in dancing, and the male performers showed masculine, lively, and energetic demeanor.”
Dr. Zhong said, “They made people feel as if they were in the scene and sharing the pleasure with
them.”
