Abstract:
Since the day it was discovered till today, paper is a piece of human existence differently
and it is acquiring considerably greater prevalence as years pass by. Likely, day by day
schedule begins with the utilization of paper and furthermore end with the utilization of
paper. What's more concerning is that, enormous measure of waste paper is created. At
times it causes severe natural degradation. A survey estimates that for the production
of 1 ton of paper, 17 trees are required [1]. Additionally, we have seen that, in any
enormous establishments, particularly instructive foundations like school, schools and
colleges, produces huge measure of waste paper.
Thus, REcosystem.com comes to the picture here, where waste papers are collected
and recycled into usable products such as pencils, scrap books, notebooks etc.

KEYWORDS: Waste Paper, Recycling, Estimates, Costs of Waste Paper

Introduction:
Waste Management Strategies are utilized to forestall quick consumption of natural
assets, to prevent from being a danger to climate and human wellbeing and to change
wastes into a financial info and worth. These techniques give a premise to "Sustainable
Development" approach which is received as essential political objective everywhere
in the world [2].

REcosystem.com provides a sustainable platform for recycling your paper waste and
gives you a green handle along with reducing the Carbon Footprint as states the
Theme of WORLD EARTH DAY, 2021 - “Restore Our Earth”.

Importance and Benefits of Recycling Paper Waste:

The following table shows the environmental benefits of using recycled copy paper
rather than virgin copy paper:

In many parts of the world, many policies, projects, technologies, programs and
strategies for recycling are developed and implemented. Lastly, the importance of
recycling was emphasized in Rio+20 in the document of “The Future We Want” [3].
Methodology:
The waste paper collection is an industry in itself. In India, many leading paper
manufacturers run programs for the waste paper collection based on the ‘Wealth Out of
Waste’ (WOW) Model [4]. The journey from Paper Waste to Recycled Usable products
will involve the following process:

Literature Survey:
Various relevant scientific literature addressing the composition of paper, paper
products, or waste paper was reviewed. While the aim was not to provide an
exhaustive review of all available literature, the focus was placed on recent
literature in order to relate any findings as best as possible to the current
technological scope of the paper industry. Geographical scope was limited to
Indian Subcontinent, as this report emphasizes on Indian market. Highlights to
the papers reviewed, are as follows:
• A Discussion paper on collection and recycling of waste paper in India
under Ministry of Environment and Forests, DIPP, 2011, Govt. Of India

The above paper puts an insight into creating an appropriate system to

characterize assortment and reuse of waste paper in the nation and to
develop an economical and functional system for accomplishing a critical
degree of recovery of waste paper by 2025.[5]

• Sharma, V.K. Wastepaper in Mumbai (India) an approach for abridged

life cycle assessment, LCA Case Studies, January, 2000.

The paper talks about the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of waste-paper
which was conducted in Mumbai (India). The wastepaper cycle was
divided into four main life stages - Generation, Collection, Utilization
and Disposal. [6]

• Sustainability outlook, 2014 Opportunity for Increasing Waste Paper

Reuse in India

This paper focuses on the rapid growth in paper packaging sector and
increased demand of paper board, used to create paper-based packaging,
evident by steady growth of 8% in this sector in past five years. [7]

Experimental Setup:
The collected waste paper, in collaboration with Recycling Company, would be
available on our e-commerce site of REcosystem.com designed using the
following peripherals:
Setting of Waste Paper Collection Bins
at all feasible points, followed by their segregation.

Result & Discussion:

Team Mindcraft would try its best to collect as much paper waste as possible and
turn them into the recycled products of stationeries, office use, paper bags, or
packaging boxes that would ultimately be used for Commercial selling on our
e-Commerce website REcosystem.com, the glimpse of which is as below:

Conclusion:
The enormous increase in waste paper solid waste as shows the recent
trend of Growth of paper per capita consumption [7], and their contribution
towards the environmental degradation urged Team Mindcraft to put forward
their insight towards recycling the scraps into reusable products of stationaries,
that would be a holistic approach towards Mother Nature.

Waste paper reusing is the cycle by which waste paper is transformed

into new paper items. The waste paper reusing measure includes the
assortment, arranging, destroying and pulping, sifting, conterminal
evacuation and de-inking, and completing for reuse of waste paper.
Waste papers are acquired from disposed of paper materials, paper
factory paper scraps, and waste paper material disposed of after buyer
use.
Waste paper, like old papers, magazines, layered, wrapping, and
bundling papers, among others, are reused for reuse.
Waste paper reusing offers different benefits, like saving energy, water,
and landfill space, which thus is affecting the development of waste
paper reusing market.
Waste paper reusing lessens ozone depleting substance outflows, and
reused fiber is a manageable, cost-saving asset for making new paper
items.
In light of type, the waste paper reusing market is fragmented into
layered cardboard, papers, magazines, white office paper, and blended
paper. The ridged cardboard sections held the biggest portion of the
worldwide waste paper reusing market.
The biggest portion of the section in waste paper reusing market is
mostly ascribed to a flood sought after for folded cardboard from the
bundling business in created and agricultural nations like the US,
Canada, Germany, France, China, India, and Australia. [9]
