Texto en pasado simple

One Saturday, Sarah woke up early. She had breakfast with her family, she had a

quick shower, and left home to work.
On her way to the office, a handsome man asked her if she knew where the closest
bank was. She told him where it was. The man asked her if she could go with him to
the bank and to have a cup of coffee afterwards. She said yes.
Sarah and the man had coffee. After that, they went to the cinema and then to a disco.
They danced for 3 hours. Sarah didn’t ask the man’s name, she didn’t add him on
Facebook or Whatsapp. At midnight, the man said he had to go to the bathroom, but
he didn’t come back.

SIMPLE PAST TENSE
Sally left home when she was 18. She didn’t want to go to university, so she
went to work in a book shop in London.
One day, a customer came to the store. His name was Bill, and he was tall and
handsome. He liked Sally, and asked her out.
They went out to dinner and had a nice time. Bill told Sally that he worked in a
bank in the financial district.
Sally liked Bill, too. After dinner, they kissed in front of her door. She smiled and
said that she hoped she would see him again.
Nobody is sure how it happened, but Sally and Bill fell hopelessly in love, and
ended up getting married.
They moved into a small flat together, and paid incredibly high rent prices for a
few years, until Sally announced that she was pregnant.

LYRICS OF THE SONG YELLOW (COLDPLAY)

YellowTraducida.html
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow

So then I took my turn

Oh, what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow

Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know
You know I love you so
You know I love you so

I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh, what a thing to do
Because you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh, what a thing to do
And it was all yellow

And your skin

Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know
For you I'd bleed myself dry
For you I'd bleed myself dry

It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

Someone like you, - Adele

I heard that your settled down
That you found a girl and you're married now
I heard that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you
Old friend, why are you so shy?
It ain't like you to hold back
Or hide from the lie
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you two
Don't forget me, I beg
I remember you said:
“Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead”
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead"
You'd know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised in a summery haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
Don't forget me, I beg
I remember you said:
“Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead”
Nothing compares, no worries or cares
Regrets and mistakes they're memories made
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you
Don't forget me, I beg
I remembered you said:
“Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead”
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you
Don't forget me, I beg
I remembered you said:
“Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead”
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead"
THE AGAINST TIME OF MARCO

It was getting dark when Marco left the institute. He stopped on the stairs to talk to a
classmate. Then he saw the school bus approaching the stop across the street. He
quickly said goodbye to his friend, ran down the stairs and crossed the street. There
was a lot of traffic and by the time he got to the other side of the street, the bus had
already left. Marco missed the bus and there was no other bus until two hours later.
Marco looked at his watch. And his parents were waiting for him at home at eight. He
thought they were going to be very angry. He had to be home by eight anyway. Then
he had an idea. Nearby, at the end of the street, there was a market that closed at
seven. There were a lot of trucks on the road to his village.

SONG IN PAST SIMPLE

WHO KNEW
You took my hand
You showed me how
You promised me you'd be around
Uh huh
That's right
I took your words
And I believed
In everything
You said to me
Yeah huh
That's right
If someone said three years from now
You'd be long gone
I'd stand up and punch them out
'Cause they're all wrong
I know better
'Cause you said forever
And ever
Who knew
Remember when we were such fools
And so convinced and just too cool
Oh no
No, no

SIMPLE PAST TENSE

The fault is the cow

Once upon a time, there was a peasant named Francisco. Francisco and his
family had a cow.
The cow gave them milk every day. From the milk, they made cream and
cheese. They didn't have to worry much, except for a few other basic things.
Francisco's family was poor. They lived from day to day. One day, the cow
died and everyone was sad. When the cow died, they realized they were living
very comfortable with their cow.
So they decided they wanted something better than milk, cream and cheese.
They started working hard every day and soon they had more than they
dreamed of...

No
Vivían día a día.

We passed upon the stairs
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there Llegó como una sorpresa
He said I was his friend Hablé a los ojos
Pensé que murió solo
Mucho, mucho tiempo atrás
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone Oh, no, yo no
A long, long time ago Nunca perdimos el control
Estás cara a cara
Con el hombre que vendió el mundo
Oh, no, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face Me reí y le sacudí la mano
With the man who sold the world E hice mi camino a casa
I laughed and shook his hand
And made my way back home
I searched from form and land Miré la mirada sin mirada
For years and years I roamed Caminamos millones de colinas
Debo haber muerto solo
Mucho, mucho tiempo atrás
I gazed the gazeless stare
We walked a millions hills
I must have died alone ¿Quién sabe? Yo no
A long, long time ago Nunca perdí el control
Estás cara a cara
Con el hombre que vendió el mundo
Who knows? Not me
I never lost control
You're face to face ¿Quién sabe? Yo no
With the man who sold the world Nunca perdimos el control
Estás cara a cara
