INTRODUCTION

In the early years, various cultures interacted through the form of art and a little rebellion. During

the time of skateboarding, punk, hip-hop, surfing and art movements the necessity of wearing

comfortable clothing like jeans, t-shirts and sneakers increased. Clothing became the expression

for various cultures but it was not called streetwear.

Driven mainly by youth, streetwear as what it is today has taken the world by this kind of a “new

revolution”. Several millennials and Gen-X individuals now open clothing lines to the express

themselves. Be it gaming, hip-hop, to statement shirts, these individuals cater various designs of

their own to different markets.

OBJECTIVE

To create a website for Projekt Apparel, Inc., an online marketplace that is exclusive for clothing

line startups. Online marketplace will aggregate different sellers into one platform who then

compete with each other to provide the same product/service at competitive prices. The

marketplace builds its brand over different factors like trust, free and/or on-time home delivery,

quality sellers, etc. and earns commission on every sale carried on its platform.

The color palette

Figure 2

Based on color theory, the group decided to go the color palette shown above. Black is

the strongest of the neutral colors. On the positive side, it’s commonly associated with power,

elegance, and formality. White is at the opposite end of the spectrum from black, but like black,

it can work well with just about any other color. In design, white is generally considered a

neutral backdrop that lets other colors in a design have a larger voice. It can help to convey

cleanliness and simplicity, though, and is popular in minimalist designs. Yellow is often

considered the brightest and most energizing of the warm colors. It’s associated with happiness

and sunshine. Gray is generally conservative and formal, but can also be modern. It’s commonly

used in corporate designs, where formality and professionalism are key. It can be a very

sophisticated color.

Powerful, elegance, simplicity, happiness, conservative, formal, modern - these are the

things that Projekt: Clothing, Inc would like to portray.

METHODOLOGY

The group will create the website utilizing the Agile-Waterfall Hybrid Framework. Agile

and waterfall are two distinctive methodologies of processes to complete projects or work items.

Agile is an iterative methodology that incorporates a cyclic and collaborative process. Waterfall

is a sequential methodology that can also be collaborative, but tasks are generally handled in a

more linear process.

The first part of the framework is research. The group has done this by the help of

Mindtech Training and Development Institute. Using the lessons and exercises from all the

modules, we will be doing the system design based on the requirements. After which, we will

generate the design based on the requirements. After generating the design, we will now go to

the iterative Agile methodology where we develop the website, integrate all the requirements and

test it, deploy the said website. We also provide support and maintenance for the website. Based

on the feedbacks, new requirements will be we will develop another version of the website.

The required skills for the group are programming and coding using Hypertext Markup

Language(HTML) in coordination with cascading style sheets(CSS) and Javascript(JS). Art

appreciation and theories is also required as this is a requirement for design. The software needed

to create the website are Sublime text, Google Chrome, Adobe Photoshop and Bootstrap. Using

these input requirements, we will be doing the requirement analysis by generating the webflow.

After the requirements have been identified, the website development will commence and actual

coding using HTML, CSS and Javascript using Sublime text will be utilized. This will generate

the output for Projekt: Apparel Inc. Website.
