Theme
The story revolves around an innocent girl named Wanda Petronski and how she was
bullied at her school. Even though Wanda Petronski is tormented by her classmates
for her weird name and her story about hundred dresses, she forgives them. Thus,
through the character Wanda Petronski, the writer highlights the theme of
forgiveness.
Message
One should never be judged on the basis of their looks or economic conditions
as in the end, it’s the talent and potential of an individual that matters.
We should not hurt or ridicule others just because they are different from us.
Mutual respect and love are the only things that can help us live in harmony.
We should also speak up boldly whenever we see any wrong being done.
