My Birthday Party

My birthday is on _____________. Every year I celebrate it with my family

and friends and I throw a big party.

Three days before, I write and send invitation cards, write the shopping list, and
plan the games and music. I also book the birthday cake and clean the house.

A day before, I do shopping with my mother. We buy candles, ballons,

streamers, and napkins.

On the party day, I get up early. My siblings help me decorate the living room
while my mother prepares food and drinks. We rearrange the furniture, blow up ballons,
hang up decorations, and lay the table. The living room soon gets a festive look. At 5 pm
the guests come and the party starts. First, we play games. My favourites are musical
chairs, guess what is inside, and truth or dare.

We have fun time and the winners are given prizes. Then, my mother serves
cheese burgers and mini pizzas. Meanwhile, my friend plays the guitar. Everybody looks
excited and delighted.

After we enjoy the servings, my mother brings the birthday cake. It is usually a
three-tier chocolate cake with vanilla frosting or a pandan cheese cake. They are my
favourites. It is time to cut the cake. I make a wish then blow out the candles while the
guests sing the birthday song. Then I cut the cake and my mother services a piece to
each guest.

Finally, it’s time to unpack the gifts. I get a lot of amazing gifts: books, clothes,
toys, and accessories. The best gift I have ever had is a mobile phone.
