An adjective is a word that is used to modify or qualify a noun or pronoun.

In English, adjectives have neither number or gender.

In the following examples, note that the adjective tall does not vary:

Adjectives can be used in two positions. If placed before the verb of the sentence, they
are said to be attributive. If placed after the verb of the sentence, they are said to be
