SURVEY ABOUT THE INFLUENCE OF THE

ICT PROJECT FOR SOCIAL CHANGE
This is a Survey tool that was composed by me (Ericka Santos) which will the members of the page "End
Global Poverty" will answer. the whole questions of this survey is all about how it allows us to asses the
influence of this ICT project for Social Change and how ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
helps to eradicate poverty (which is our Social Issue topic).

Did posting on the Website helped you increase or share your knowledge and creative expression?

Yes, by posting on the Website called "End Global Poverty" it increased my knowledge about the topic and
also shared it with the viewers and the members. Creating new things like animated pictures about the topic
and writing poems to tell people how serious POVERTY is and that we should do something. by the help of
ICT we can spread more information, search for solutions and help each other.

Do you think this Website's contents can be applied to various concerns such as environment, health, and governance

rationally and effectively, resulting in a mutually agreeable and beneficial consensus for community actions?

Yes, the website's contents can be applied to various concerns such as health and environment since it is
about poverty. the health of the poor people who couldn't afford to feed themselves and how the
environment can be also a reason as to why it happens.

As a content expert, do you feel encouraged to continue contributing to the Website?

Yes I do feel encouraged, I believe that what I do to the website not only just helps me, it also helps some
people. My contents are all about POVERTY and to how ICT eradicates it. I still need to learn about the ICT
project that I made so I'm still not done making contents and educating not only myself but also others on
how we can help and spread through the internet.

What are the benefits of making your website "End Global Poverty" not only to you and the
members but also to the readers?

The benefit of making the website is gaining more knowledge and experiences. having a conversation with
the readers of the website and making contents are the benefits of my website. because showing people how
they could help or to what poverty truly is through the internet it's already a good benefit for me to see them
all read my contents.

How much did the Website influenced some of the people who have read or saw your posts?

Some people would message the page and asks questions, some would send me links or videos of education
about the topic Poverty and some would comment or share my contents. see, despite the pandemic we're
experiencing right now people can still support each other through Internet. because of my post some people
are willing to help or even donate on some charity regarding helping kids who are experiencing poverty in this
time of pandemic.

How did ICT (Information and Communication Technology) helped to eradicate POVERTY?

There are two opposing “opinion camps”: those that consider ICT to be the panacea for poverty reduction and
those that claim that ICT has no reasonable role in poverty reduction as long as the basic needs of the poor
are not met. The argument in this paper falls somewhere in between. It is argued that the ICT, if supported
with the right policies and with cross-cutting and holistic approaches, will complement and strengthen other
multispectral efforts that are required for poverty reduction, including those meeting basic needs

Why did you choose poverty as your topic on the Social Issue for your ICT project to evaluate
and measure the impact of its social change?

I choose Poverty because The Philippines has a fairly high poverty rate with more than 16% of the population
living below the poverty line. Because of the many people reliant on agriculture for an income and inequality
in wealth distribution, about 17.6 million Filipinos struggle to afford basic necessities. From 2015 to 2020, the
rate of poverty declined from 21.6% to 16.6%. Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte aims to reduce the rate
of poverty to 14% by 2022. Through its strategy, AmBisyon 2040, the Philippine government plans to
eradicate extreme poverty by 2040. Furthermore, the government has implemented various programs and
reforms to reduce poverty by targeting education, healthcare and the overall economy. Here are five ways
the program is combating poverty in the Philippines.
