Pearl Lake Protection & Rehabilitation Annual Meeting

May 28, 2011

Charirman Steve Koivula called the May 28th, 2011 meeting to order. Minutes of
the Sept 2010 were read and accepted as read. Treasurer Mark Leisering was
not present. Steve reported an over-all total balance of $61,008.00. There is
grant money available. The proposed budget will be posted on notice boxes
around the lake & on the web site. About 50 acres of milfoil have been treated.

Fish report – Vern Bertzyk stated there are very few blue gills. Dave Bartz is
hesitant on stocking them. A stocking survey will be done in early spring of
2012. There are funds in the PRD budget for stocking.

Roger Pernick – Secci disc report as of May 17th, 25 Ft 56 degrees at 3 ft and 46

degrees at 45 ft. After 16 years of reading Roger is retiring at the end of the
season. Glen Anderson of South Pearl Lake Road has volunteered. Readings are
taken on specific days and times; a boat is necessary.

Pier sizes, width and depth are regulated – the county web site has this
information. Draft on the lake survey is finished. Brad Cason of Cason &
Associates will speak at July meeting. There are 23 aquatic lake plants including
milfoil. All county lakes are being surveyed. Volunteers are needed for the July
12th survey.

Chuck Johannes reported 93 responses from the survey questioner (there are
136 property owner at Pearl Lake). Clean lake water was most important
response. A new commissioner to replace Chuck will be chosen at the July 2011
meeting

Steve suggested the PRD meeting start at 8:30 AM followed by the lake
association meeting in 2012. There are packets available for new members.
