School budgeting is directly correlated in students’ academic achievement.

School budgeting directly impacts student achievement. Financial resources
should be present. Research also states that one factor that influences student
achievement is the quality of instruction. Quality of instruction can also be achieved
by quality teachers and adequate

Through the use of school budget, the school ensures that programs are
implemented according to set plans and objectives. The actual performance is
measured against budgeted performance. In addition, a budget facilitates proper
administration of financial revenues and other school resources. A budget is the
basis for accounting for funds spent to achieve educational objectives. The budget
also inspires confidence in the parents, education officials and the school community
about the school’s leadership and general management.

Budgeting also facilitates a systematic plan for evaluating the quality and
quantity of services needed in a school. It helps in the attainment of purposes. The
budget states clearly the purposes for which the school was founded. It confers
authority to head teachers to source for funds and expend it on approved
expenditures. Lastly, it enables teachers to obtain fairly accurate estimates of
receipts and expenditures. These estimates help in balancing the budget and thus
prevent budgetary deficits.

Prioritizing on teaching and learning means that in all budget considerations,

Schools depend upon good solid budget plans to survive the inevitable twists
and turns that the school year has. School principals must make sure every student
is given an equal chance to succeed. As it relates to the budget process, this means
promoting equality in funding among the general student population, while providing
extra support for struggling students to also provide them with the opportunity to
succeed.

Through the use of the school budget, the school ensures that programmes

are implemented according to set plans and objectives. Budgets don not guarantee
success, but they certainly help to avoid failure. Schools depend upon good
solid budget plans to survive the unavoidable twists and turns that the school year
provides.
