Recreation consists of activities or
experiences carried on within
leisure, usually chosen voluntarily
by the participant – either because
of satisfaction, pleasure or creative
enrichment derived, or because he
perceives certain personal or social
values to be gained from them.

Recreation is the expenditure of
time with an intent to gain some
refreshment. It is a break from
monotony and a diversion from
the daily routine. Recreation is
anything that is stimulating and
rejuvenating for an individual.

- People have to function effectively in
performing the action.

2. Passive Recreation
- People have no excessive movement in
performing task or action.
