 Positional Tolerance related to Diameter (Section 5 at the minimum)

 Hello.  You need to update and correct your slides regarding the description of the positional
tolerance related to the diameter.  You've been using the 0.1 diameter as a linear tolerance rather
than a diametrical tolerance.  The tolerance zone should be a 0.1 diameter, resulting in a zone
that extends 0.05 from the center and not 0.1.  These mistakes have been brought up in the past
(going back at least 1 year or more) and not only is the information wrong, it's confusing to
someone trying to learn.  Thank you.

 Top view and side view are wrong ?

 in the lecture 10.
In the drawing I think Top view and side view is wrong.
there is actually bottom view which called you Top.
and side view is not possible, as shown front view.
Is it correct?
pls correct me if I am wrong.

 The orientation of the views is causing the confusion.

The views located are correct . But since the arrow is coming from top for the front view - it looks
wrong.

 Hi Mufaddal,
In my opinion, the "placement of views" and "projection type" looks incorrect.
I created a quick CAD and orthographic projections for "First angle Projections".
Your top and primary front view are in "First angle projection".
2. Your side view should be placed on the right of your top view(again as per First Angle Projection".

Could you please check that?

 As you suspect, it's definitely not 3rd angle projection. For third angle projection, the "top view"
shown would actually be the bottom view. The "side view" would not be any standard view in 3rd
angle projection, it is a leftward projection of the bottom view.

Review:

 I am a mechanic engineer with more than 10 years work- experience, wanted to get into
manufacturing field and took this course to brush up my knowledge. Unfortunately,
explanations (regardless of the accent) were such unclear and confusing( did not include
several elaborating examples ) that in the middle of the course I preferred to drop it and read
standard ASME Y14.5 directly. I took its advanced course at the same time of purchasing the
basic one and it won't be helpful.
 The case study examples narration is very short. Would appreciate, if you could explain how
the tolerances were applies while actually drafting the part.
 Lecturer speech is poor. Subtitles are not correct in accordance with the Lecturer's speech.
Some Quiz questions have two correct answers even though only one is acceptable
according to the result. Also, some questions need to be enhanced by drawing to clarify the
purpose of questions.
 There was a lot of confusion in many of the concepts being taught. I feel the coursework
could have been managed a bit better. Need a little more understanding when it comes to
concepts than just repeating the textbook definitions. The examples helped a bit but overall
it did seem to be lacking in terms of understanding. The communication can be a lot better
in my opinion.
 Impossible to follow the course, the transcription of the audio is full of errors. The courses
has to be made with quality. Very disappointed.
 The course covers most aspects of GD&T and is probably a good review for someone who is
already familiar w/ GD&T principles. The slides, however, lacked practical examples with lots
of typos and grammatical errors which made it somewhat difficult to follow. I wish to see
more real examples probably via real gauges and parts. Assignments and quizzes could be
designed more efficiently. Overly, I did not find the course a good start for learning GD&T.
 The subtitles which are meant to trace what the instructor is saying do not correspond to
what the instructor says. Most of the cases it is not English at all. For somebody who is not
accustomed to listening to English would want to read subtitles and would be confused
because they are NOT ENGLISH. They are actually no language at all. For example due the
harsh indian accent of the instructor. The word part is often reflected as "POD" or the
prounciation of "GD&T" would appear as "Judian". It is apparent that the instructor had not
taken time to write down his lecture but used a "voice recognition software" that would
definitely not grasp what harsh accept speakers. Therefore lecturer should take time to write
down what he probably and actuallly wanted to say.
 Dear Sr., The Video "1. Introduction"  4m, has a recording failure from minute 2.12 to the end.
 Just read out the ppt doesn’t explain.
 Hi, The Transcript of the videos is a great mess, it says a lot of stupid things, can you correct it?
Thanks
