In the apparel industry, seam quality defined through various functional and easthetic performances
desired for the apparel products in time if their end use. The functional performanc mainly refers to the
strength, tenacity, efficiency, elasticity, elongation, flexibility, bending stiffness, abrasion, resistance,
washing, resistance and dry cleaning resistance of seam under various conditions of mechanical stress of
reasonable period of time(Rahman, 2013).

Nowadays thread supply for women's underwear are the biggest problem in apparel industry it costl, not
durable in terms of the quality and limited supply. To maintain a garment quality, durability of thread is
one of the most important parameters that should be taken into account (Bharani et al.2012). There are
different types of thread that can be used for men and women underwear that usually used in garments
apparel. The functional and easthetic performance of an apparel product in terms of durability and stability
are affected by using the kind of thread.

I choose this program because I do believe that it really help me a lot to develop as a person to enhance
my ability in terms of my major I pursued and to gain more about sewing skills that I know in the future it
help to the next generation. And I know the right choice is the Samar State University because of the
service that they give the quality of education that really need in every student.

The personal qualities and special skills I have to help succeed in this program is initiative Analytical,

Based on my experience as a former students of samar state university, our loving Alma mater is getting
more successful in terms of innovation, transformation and producing a high quality education that really
need of a students like me. My fours years in SSU family is really interesting most especially in enhancing
my knowledge and skills in sewing and it helps me to understand and to be well trained in managing and
producing a high quality product. The ssu mantra said, serving their loving clients is very much
appreciated they share, care and support the needs of everyone.
