It was

delightful that she finally agreed to hang out with me yesterday after rejecting my invitation for countless

times. In fact, without my mother’s permission, I still couldn’t go out with my baby. Therefore, I decided

to tell her a lie that I would leave for the library to complete my presentation. As expected, my mom let

me with a smile on her face. I ran to her and said, “Let’s had some ice cream.” She received my

invitation without hesitation. On the way, we strolled leisurely hand in hand. It looked as if we were

living in a world of two. Although the ice-cream shop was much farther than I had thought, I didn’t feel

tired at all. We finally arrived in the shop, and after buying ice cream, she wanted to go to the department

store nearby. I agreed with her and realized that it was our first time shopping together. What a precious

experience! All of a sudden, I saw my mom on the way to department store, and she was staring at me at

the same time, this moment was the most unfortunate and embarrassing part of my life!
In fact, I was so panic and completely didn’t know how to deal with this situation. Meanwhile, there

were a lot of elves in my brain. Some had me escape with my girlfriend immediately, while others made

me try to communicate with my mom. At this moment, my mom just stood in front of me, and I was so

scared that I almost cried out. Unexpectedly, instead of being angry, she smiled and said, “Be safe and

have a nice date!” Thanks to my mom, my baby could know my family’s personality much better. As the

saying goes, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” After saying goodbye to my girlfriend, I went home

and decided to apologize to my mom. When I went home and did that, my mom said, “Lying isn’t a

proper behavior, and it’s true that you make me a little angry and disappointed. Even so, I don’t want to

destroy your dating, so I forgive you!”

I’m thirty years old now, but I still remember what happened on that day, and Amy, who was my

girlfriend then, is my wife now, and thanks to my mom, we have the happiest life nowadays!
