GAyathri Mantra

Om bhur bhuva suvahā, tat savitur varEnyam


BhargO devasya dhImahī, dhiyo yo nA prachodayAt
We meditate upon the sacred light of god, The Sun. May he illuminate our minds

ShAnthi MantrAs

Om sahanA vavatu sahanau bhunaktu saha veeryam karavAvahe


TEjasvinA vadheetha mastu mA vid vishavAhai

May he protect and nourish us both. May we acquire the capacity to understand the scriptures. May we be brilliant in
studies. May we not have disputes.

Om sarveshAm svAtir bhavatu, sarveshAm shAntir bhavatu


Sarvesham pUrNam bhavatu, sarveshAm mangaLam bhavatu
Om, may perfection, peace, contentment and auspiciousness prevail on all.

Om sarve bhavantu sukhinaha, sarve santu nirAmAyaha


SarvE bhadrANi pashyantu mA kaschid dukha bhAg bhavet
May all be happy, healthy, and enjoy prosperity. May none suffer.

Om pUrNamadaha, pUrNamidam pUrNat pUrNa mudachyatE


pUrNasya pUrNAmadAya pUrNamevA vashishyatE
The supreme lord is perfect and complete. This universe that he has created is also perfect and complete. From
completeness only perfection comes about. In the end only completeness and perfection remains.

Om asato mA sad gamaya, tamasO mA jyotir gamaya mrithyOr mA amritam gamaya

Om shAnthi shAnthi shAnthihi


Om, lead me from untruth to truth, from darkness to light, from death to immortality.
Salutations to Saraswathi

Saraswathi nama sthubyam varade kAmarupiNi


VidyArambham karishyami siddhir bhavatu me sadA

Salutations to you mother Saraswathi. I am beginning my studies, I pray to you to bless me with success at all times.

YA kundendu tushAra hAra dhavaLA yA shubhra vastrAnvitA


YA veeNa varadanda manditakarA yA shvEtha padmAsanA
YA brahmA chyuta shankara prabhitibhir devai sadA vanditA
SA mAm pAtu sarasvathi bhagavati nishesha jAdyApahA
May goddess Saraswathi protect me. She is immaculately white like Kunda flowers, moon and snow. She wears a white
robe, holds a veena in hand seated on a white lotus. She is adored by all gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. She removes
all inertia from her devotees.

Salutations to Guru

Guru brahmA guru vishnu guru devO mahEshvara


Guru sAkshAt para brahmA tasmai shri guravE namaha
Guru{teacher} is Brahnma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. He is the supreme lord to whom we pray.

PradakshiNA Mantra

YAni kAni japA pAni janmantara krithA ni chA


TAni TAni vinashyanthi pradakshiNA pade pade
PApoham pApa karmAham pApAtma pApa sambhavaha
TrAhi mAm kripayA dEva sharaNA gata vatsala
AnyaTha sharaNam nAsti tvamEva sharaNam mama
TasmAt kAruNya bhAvena raksha raksha janArdhanaha

Tva mEva mAta cha pitA tvamEva tva mEva bandhu cha sakhA tvamEva
Tva mEva vidyA Dravidam tvameva, tva mEva sarvam mama dEva dEva

You alone are my everything, mother father, friend, helper, protector, knowledge, spiritual prosperity. My Lord, you are
my everything.

KAyena vAchA manasendri evA bhudyAtma nAvA prikrite swabhAvAth


KarOmi yadyath sakalam parasmai nArAyaNA yeti samarpayAmi

Svasti prajAbhya paripalayantAm, nyayena mArgeNa mahIm mahishaha


GobrahmNebhya shubhamastu nityam ,lOkA samasTha sukhinO bhavantu

May people be happy. May the king righteously rule the earth. Let there be
Welfare for animals and men of wisdom at all times. May all be happy.

kAle varshatu parjanyah ,prithvi sasyashAlini


deshOyam kshObha rahita, brahmaNa santu nirbhayaha

May it rain at the proper time. May the earth produce grains.
May this country be free from famine. May men can think/meditaite/plan without fear.

MahA Mritynjaya Mantra

Om trayambakam yajAmahe , sugandhIm pushtivardhanam


Urva rukumiva bandhanAth ,mrityor mukshiyamAmravat
We worship the three eyed Lord Shiva , who nourishes all beings. May he liberate me from death to immortality
as the cucumber is severed from its bondage when separated from the vines.

AnnapUrNa Sloka
AnnapurNe sadApurNe, Shankara prANa vallabhe
jnAna vairagya siddhyartham bhiksham dehi namOstute
O Annapurna who art ever full, the beloved force of Lord Shiva, O Parvathi
grant me alms that I be firmly establish knowledge of renunciation
