Chlorine Dioxide AP-126 900
Chlorine Dioxide AP-126 900
SPECIFICATIONS
Method: Spectrophotometric (DR 900)
Range: 0.04 to 5.00 mg/L as ClO2
Testing Time: 1 minute
DESCRIPTION
The following test method provides a direct means
to measure the concentration of Chlorine Dioxide
present in your system.
Chlorine dioxide reacts with DPD (N, N-diethyl-
p-phenylenediamine) to the extent of one-fifth of
its total available chlorine content corresponding
to reduction of chlorine dioxide to chlorite to form
a pink color. The color intensity is proportional
to the ClO2 in the sample. Chlorine interference is
eliminated by adding glycine, which converts free
chlorine to chloroaminoacetic acid, but has no effect Nalco DR 900 Colorimeter
on chlorine dioxide at the test pH.
