Windows Maple Installation
1. First, find out whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows computer. Open a File Explorer
window by double-clicking the Recycle Bin on your Desktop.
3. The System window will open and the System type shows either a 64-bit Operating System or a 32-bit
Operating System.
5. Scroll to Maple and select either the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows download.
6. Login to Marquette's Microsoft site with your Marquette.edu email address and password.
7. The installer will download. At the bottom of the browser window, this prompt will appear. (It
may be a different color.) Click Save.
8. Once the download has completed, the following will appear in the same place on the browser
window. Click Open folder.
9. The following window will open. Right-click on 64-bit-Maple-2018 (or 32-bit-Maple-2018) and in
the menu that opens, click Extract All…
10. The Destination window will open. Check Show extracted files when complete and click Extract.
11. The progress window will open as the files are extracted.
12. The following window will then open. Double-click Maple2018.1WindowsX64Installer. (Or
Maple2018.1WindowsX32Installer for 32-bit computers.)
16. Click Next on the Maple Worksheet Association and Install Desktop Shortcut windows below.
17. When the Choose the Licensing Type window opens, check Single User License and then click Next.
18. Click Next when the Check for Updates window below opens.
27. Return to the Maplesoft Activation window. Right click the Purchase Code* field and click
Paste. Then click Next.
(Note: In the event that the activation asks for your credentials, simply type them in as
requested and continue.)
28. The Activation Success window will open. Click OK.
29. Return to your desktop and double-click the Maple 2018 icon. The firewall warning may
appear. Check Domain networks, such as a workplace network, then click Allow access.
30. Maple opens. Congratulations! You just installed and activated Maple 2018 for Windows.
