Managerial and organizational communication

Module description
The module introduce an Introduction to organizational communication; theories of
organizational communication; organizational communication ethics; communicating between
and among internal stakeholders; organization communications with external stakeholders;
organizational communication climate, culture, and globalization; organizational
communication, type, process and communication channels; organizational identity and
diversity; barriers of communication; guidelines for effective communication, and media of
communication.

This module aimed at teaching the concept of communication, organizational communication


and communication in management. More specifically, the module will help the student to
explain the basic model of communication and how it applies to the organizational context; the
basic ethics in organizational communication and differentiate among typology of unethical
organizational communication; assess the implementation of an organizational communication
ethics intervention; identify problems of effective communication and its impact on the overall
organizational goal achievements. It will explain the basic skills and ways of improving
communication and understand the significance of effective communication in undertaking
managerial functions.

The mode of delivery for this module includes lecture, like individual and group work, field
work, reading assignments, case study, demonstration, role play etc.
