Checking and adjusting the frequency of flashes of the MSL-3 Beacon

Measure the frequency of flashes of the beacon according to the stopwatch,
which should be 90 ± 13 flashes per minute at rated voltage and temperature in
the range from -60 to +60 r С. If necessary, adjust the number of revolutions of
the rotating platform of the beacon, for which: - unlock and unscrew three
screws 6 (Fig. 21) fastening the cover of the beacon, - remove the cover 5, -
loosen the screw 4 of the sliders 3 of the adjusting resistance 2; - adjust the
number of revolutions by moving the slider 3. After adjusting the screw 4 of
the slider, tighten and cover with red enamel; - after adjusting the speed, put the
cover 5 back in place, fix it with three screws6, counter screws. To avoid
overheating of the lighthouse, its operation without blowing is allowed no more
than 10
minutes.
