Discolouration of working chamber
Starting point: The quality concept of Memmert involves a 100%
functional test of products. This means that every oven is tested in its
extreme applications. For applications with very high temperatures,
300°C for example, these are also tested in our test bay.
Discolourations: When the ovens are heated up to 250°C to 300°C, the
interior chambers become discoloured (slightly yellowish to slightiy
brownish)
Statement: The discolouration of metals such as iron, steel and stainless
steel under high temperatures is the result of a chemical reaction. The
natural oxide layer that forms on the surface of metals is reinforced by iecseciearene
high temperatures, and a discolouring of the surface can be observed. ult
