1. Find the number of sides of a regular polygon if each of its exterior angle is:

2. Draw a regular pentagon whose exterior angles are p, q, r, s, t and each interior angle is k.
What is the measure of:

(b) each exterior angle

3. Each interior angle of a polygon is five (5) times the exterior angle of the polygon. Find the
number of sides.

4. Find the minimum interior angles and maximum exterior angles possible in a regular
polygon. Give reasons to support your answer.

5. Find the exterior angle of a regular polygon of:


(a) 5 sides

(c) 15 sides

6. The ratio between an exterior angle and the interior angle of a regular polygon is 1 : 2.
Find:
(a) the measure of each exterior angle.
(b) the measure of each interior angle.
(c) the number of sides in the polygon.

7. The measure of the exterior angle of a hexagon is (3x – 4)°, (x + 4)°, (7x – 3)°, (8x – 1)°,
(2x + 3)°, (9x + 1)°. Find the measure of each angle.

8. Is it possible to have a regular polygon each of whose exterior angle is 50°? Give reason to
support your answer.

9. The ratio of the exterior and interior angle of a regular polygon is 2 : 3. Find the number of
sides in the polygon.

10. The exterior angles of a hexagon are in the ratio 1 : 1 : 2 : 2 : 3 : 3. Find all the interior
angles of the hexagon.

11. If 5men or 7women can earn Rs875per day, how much would 10men and 5women earn
per day.

12. In a hostel, 120 students consume 2160 kg of rice per month. How much rice will be
consumed by 80 students in a month?

13. 5 buses carry 325 passengers. How many passengers can be carried by 8 such buses?

14. A family consumes 30 kg of sugar in 15 days. How much sugar will be consumed in 275
days?

15. A worker is paid Rs 1110 for 6 days. If his total wages during a month are Rs 4625, for
how many days did he work?

16. At a particular time of a day, a 7-m-high flagstaff casts a shadow which is 8.2 m long.
What is the height of the building which casts a shadow 20.5 metres in length at the same
moment?

17. A fort had provision for 300men for 90days. After 20days, 50men left the fort. How long
would the food last at the same rate? 

18. Quadrilateral PQRS PQ = 4.2 cm, QR = 3 cm, PS = 2.8 cm, PR = 4.5


cm and QS = 5 cm.

19.Construct a parallelogram BELT, given that BE = 4.2 cm, EL = 5 cm,


angle T = 45°.

20.Quadrilateral HELP with HE = 6cm, EL = 4.5 cm, H=60°, E =105°


and P= 120°

21.Parallelogram GRAM with GR = AM = 5 cm, RA = MG = 6.2 cm and


R = 75°

22.Rectangle FLAG with sides FL = 6cm and LA = 4.2 cm

23.Quadrilateral PQRS with PQ = 3.6cm, QR = 4.5 cm, RS = 5.6 cm,


PQR = 135° and QRS = 60°.

24. In a circle with centre P, chord AB is drawn of length 13 cm, seg PQ ⊥ chord AB, then
find l(QB).

25. Radius of a circle with centre O is 25 cm. Find the distance of a chord from the centre if
length of the chord is 48 cm.

26. O is centre of the circle. Find the length of radius, if the chord of length 24 cm is at a
distance of 9 cm from the centre of the circle.

27. Find the length of the tangent drawn to a circle of radius 3 cm, from a point at a distance
5 cm from the centre.
28. Find the length of the tangent drawn to a circle of radius 5 cm from a point distant 13 cm
from the centre.
29. In the following figure, O is the centre of the circle. Find the values of x and y.
