STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


This study aims to evaluate the suitability of coconut shell and fiber as an aggregate for the
producing hollow blocks, moreover, it targets to answer the following problems:

1. What is the efficiency percent of the mixture of Coconut Shell and Fiber as aggregate for
commercial Hollow Blocks in the following proportions:
a. 30% Coconut Shell, 70% Coconut Fiber
b. 50% Coconut Shell, 50% Coconut Fiber
c. 70% Coconut Shell, 30% coconut Fiber
d. Pure Coconut Shell
e. Pure Coconut Fiber
2. What is the suitability percent of the best mixture of Coconut shell and Fiber as aggregate
for commercial Hollow Blocks in terms of
a. Durability
b. Toughness
c. Hardness
d. Texture
e. Appearance
