ABSTRACT
The main objective of this group activity is to share the individual managerial aspects
from individual life experiences, the problems faced and how it was solved. In this report,
each of the individuals have shared their life experiences in managerial aspects and what they
have learned from that experience.

AMULYA - My management experience started in 2018, when I was a student coordinator

for the intra collegiate debate competition hosted by the literary club of my B. Tech
university. In 2019 June, I got a chance to be a student volunteer for ICICC and then for SIH
in July where I had a few teams under my supervision. This has not only thought me how to
manage a team but also the resources and time available, and how to get things done in the
required time.

JOHN BAZIL JA - I was the student coordinator for the college day - a cultural program. As
a coordinator, I have to engage all the students to participate and coordinate. I categorized
them into groups according to their roles. There was a problem of difference of opinion
between the HOD and the students. The HOD refused every suggestion made by the students
and the students weren't happy about the HOD's decisions. I solved the issue by
compromising the dress code for students and more fun events were added according to the
students' wishes. From this experience, I have learned that for a manager or a responsible
person to solve a problem, one should try to compromise things and act accordingly for the
benefit of all.

MEGHASHYAM SHIRODKAR - My experience of management was in college where we

had an intercollege fest and I was a team round organizer, where we have to conduct the
rounds for whole team. Like quiz, ice breaking, stress management round etc. where we have
to create a round and if the rounds where not managed properly that could create problem to
whole fest because time was important for other rounds also, so there we have to manage the
rounds. accordingly. So, this is where i got to learn that managing our time and people at the
right time is important.

PRASHANTH C - I go on a lot of bike trips, so planning on the destination, budget required,

and number of days, events is all a big task. Also coordinating with my friends and getting
them all to the same page is also another managerial task. the pursuit of organizational goals
efficiently and effectively. From my experience, I’ve learned the process of planning,
organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, and controlling.
SHASHWAT GOSWAMI - I had a managerial experience firstly during my college days in
the year 2018 when I was helping my friends organize an event. Organizing a college event
isn't an easy task it requires a lot of effort in the appropriate direction. Firstly, we had to get a
lot of approvals and also the budget to conduct the event. Guidance of your professor and
seniors also plays an important role as they had past experience. Once we got the approval
and budget, we formed a certain team of 2-3 people who we were responsible for the work
assigned to them. Then we delegated certain amount of work and responsibilities to these
team due to which the task was completed in the stipulated time. So based on my past
experience I realized that team effort, guidance from your seniors, support from your peers,
good flow of communication and proper utilization of resources altogether helps in achieving
an objective in an effective and efficient manner.

UBAIR AIJAZ - I had a first-hand experience at managing, couple of years back when we
had to renovate our house and re-do the interiors. Right from consulting the architects and the
interior designers, to the procurement of the materials required and that too at rates that
would fit within the budget, which we had fixed initially. It was a challenging task to survey
the market, and to find experienced and skilled workers, and also complete the project in
time. So, I took help from a friend who had recently constructed his house. He recommended
me the stores to purchase the required material, and also help me in arranging workers for it.
This way our project got completed in time and also the budget wasn’t stretched.

CONCLUSION
The outcome of this group activity is to understand the real-life experiences of
individuals in managerial aspect. Based on this, it can be concluded that every person has a
managerial skill inside them which can be used not only in the work-life but also in personal
life.
