The candidates with the following Registration Numbers are provisionally shortlisted for
Stage-II (Skill Test) for the post of Junior Assistant based the marks obtained in the
Screening Examination (Stage-I) conducted by the Institute on 11.07.2021.

The Stage – II (Skill Test) will be held on 24.07.2021 at National Institute of


Technology, Tiruchirappalli – 620 015. The shortlisted candidates will be informed of
the time and exact venue of the test ONLY through SMS and e-mail. Individual
communication regarding the date and time of Stage – II (Skill Test)/ Stage – III (Main
Test) will not be sent to the candidates by post. The candidates who come for the Stage –
II (Skill Test) have to report for Certificate Verification (CV) on the same day (24.07.2021)
with admit card, hard copy of the application for respective post and all original
certificates (listed in Annexure-I) in support of the claims made in their online
applications. The candidates who qualify the Stage – II (Skill Test) should be ready to
appear for Stage – III (Main Test) on 25.07.2021 at Tiruchirappalli. The admit card
for Stage-II/ Stage-III will be available for download from the Institute website from 15th
July 2021. Candidates will not be allowed inside the Institute premises without the
printed admit card and all the documents specified in Annexure I.

Important Instructions:

1. The above candidates are shortlisted for Stage – II (Skill Test) based on their
marks obtained in the Stage-I Examination and with reference to rules of
reservations, conditions laid down vide respective advertisement and as per the
Recruitment Rule for NITs issued by Ministry of Education, GoI.
2. The admission of candidates to Stage – II (Skill Test) is purely provisional and it
is subject to verification and acceptance of the claim in their online applications
towards age, age relaxation, Educational Qualification, Communal Category, PwD,
Ex-serviceman etc., through original documents. Online claims without
supporting original documents will not be considered and the candidate will not
be allowed for subsequent stage of the Recruitment process.
3. If any of their claims are found to be false or incorrect, their applications for the
recruitment will be rejected and the provisional admission to Skill Test will be
cancelled and they will not be admitted to the next stage of selection.
4. The admission of the shortlisted candidates to the subsequent stage is purely
provisional subject to the decision of the Institute and subject to the outcome or
final orders in any of the pending writs of the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at
Madras - Madurai Bench.
5. Candidates who have been admitted provisionally to the Skill Test are hereby
advised to attend the Skill Test with all the relevant documents in original without
fail. Failure to produce even any one of the essential documents will result in their
non-admission to the Skill Test / subsequent recruitment process.
6. Travelling and other expenses would be borne by the candidate and no travelling
expenses such as TA/DA, accommodation etc. will be admissible for appearing for
the recruitment process. However, PwD candidates may avail the reimbursement
of TA for the shortest route as per the norms of the GoI/ MoE / Institute.
7. Change of venue /date / time will not be permitted under any circumstances.
8. The Institute reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of examination
centres / venues and to re-allot the applicants accordingly.
9. Candidates have to make their own arrangements for travel to the examination
centre/stay for the recruitment process. They should strictly adhere to the COVID-
19 Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) issued by the GoI / State Goovernment
from time to time.
10. Candidate will appear for the Stage – II (Skill Test) and Stage – III (Main Test) at
their own risk and the Institute will not be responsible for any of the unforeseen
circumstances of any nature.
11. The Institute reserves the right to cancel/ restrict/ modify/ alter the recruitment
process at any stage, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason
thereafter.
12. Candidates are advised to visit the website of the Institute i.e., www.nitt.edu , time
to time for all updates.

Annexure – I
Documents/ Certificates to be enclosed/produced:

The following documents/certificates, in original along with one set of


photocopies, are required to be brought along with a printout of the online application
and receipt/proof of online application fee deposited, at the time of appearing in the
selection process, failing which the candidature would be summarily rejected and
applicant may be debarred from participation in the further selection process.
i. Matriculation / 10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth, or
mark sheet of Matriculation / 10th Standard or equivalent issued by Central /
State Board indicating date of Birth in support of their claim of age. If date of birth
is not available in certificate / mark sheets, issued by concerned Educational
Boards, school leaving certificate indicating date of Birth will be considered.
ii. Higher Secondary / Class XII (or equivalent) board marks sheet.
iii. UG / PG Degree / ITI / Diploma certificate (whichever is applicable) along with
mark sheets pertaining to all the academic years as proof of educational
qualification claimed.
iv. The Community / category certificate in the proforma prescribed and issued by
the DoPT, Govt. of India vide letter no.F.No.36028/1/2014-Estt. (Res.) dated 3rd
September, 2015 will only be accepted as sufficient proof in support of an
applicant's claim to belong to Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe / Other Backward
Class(NCL). Relevant Caste / Tribe / Community certificates are required to be
submitted with duly completed application form. No other certificate will be
accepted as a sufficient proof. The caste of the applicant must be in the State-wise
Central list of SCs given at

applicant must be in the State-wise Central list of STs given at
https://tribal.nic.in/ST/LatestListofScheduledtribes.pdf
v. OBC (NCL) certificate issued on or after 1st April, 2021 shall be considered for
reservation under OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category. The certificate should
clearly mention that the applicant belongs to non-creamy layer and the caste of
the applicant must be in the State-wise Central list of OBCs given at
http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx. The OBC(NCL)
certificate must be produced in the prescribed proforma.
vi. EWS certificate issued on or after 1st April, 2021 shall only be considered for
reservation under EWS category, whose family has gross annual income below
8.00 lakh (Rupees Eight Lakh only) for the financial year prior to the year of
application. Also, persons whose family owns or possesses any of the assets as
mentioned in DoPT, Govt. of India OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31st
January, 2019 shall also be excluded from being identified as EWS, irrespective of
the family income. The EWS certificate must be produced in the prescribed
proforma.
vii. Divyaang (PwD) applicants shall be required to submit the Disability/Medical
Certificate in the proforma prescribed and issued by the competent medical
authorities for the purpose of employment as per Government of India norms with
duly completed application form. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the
disability shall only be eligible for the benefit of reservation under this category.
The certificate will be rejected if the disability is less than 40% and their
candidature under PwD category will not be considered. The Divyaang certificate
must be produced in the prescribed proforma issued by the Medical Board
constituted either by Central or State Government.
viii. Ex-Servicemen applicants shall be required to submit the certificates in the
prescribed proforma along with original Pension Payment Order (PPO).
ix. Photo identity card (in original, such as Aadhaar Card / Passport / Driving Licence
/ Voter ID Card).
x. NOC and experience Certificate(s) from the Head(s) of Organization(s) for the
entire experience claimed, clearly mentioning the duration of employment (date,
month & year) indicating the basic pay, Grade Pay (GP) / Pay Matrix Level and
consolidated pay. The certificate(s) should also mention the nature of duties
performed/experience obtained in the post(s) with duration(s).
xi. Any other relevant documents in support of the entries filled in application form,
Note: Date of birth mentioned in Online Recruitment Application is final. No
subsequent request for change of date of birth will be considered or granted at any
stage, even after the selection. Applications with wrong date of birth submission
on the online portal will be rejected.
