● Dues: $20/resident
● Dues: $50/business

NA Dues
Recommendations:

● Contact Team Model

○ (Attendance)
● Current Model
○ (Dues-paying Only)
● Both?
○ Non-paying vote + dues-paying vote
○ Attendance and/or $
The 2008 JJSNA Constitution
outlines the procedure for officer
elections:

Officer Elections ● Nominating Committee is appointed

Nominating
(usually at regular August meeting)
● Nominees send written resume to
secretary within 1 week

Committee ● Normal elections are held during the

September meeting
● New officers assume their roles
March 15th for 1 year
Parking/Traffic Committee:
Representative group of neighbors that
pursues local and comprehensive traffic
impact data and city/developer
collaboration to ensure pedestrian and bike
safety and mitigate car traffic
Questions to Consider
● Should the neighborhood association adopt a standing policy of vigorously
pursuing, and insisting upon, pedestrian and traffic safety mitigation within the
neighborhood and on its periphery?
● Should the neighborhood association object to approval of a site plan without
firm commitments (both by the developer and the city) to (specific and adequate
and timely) mitigation of traffic and pedestrian issues which it will generate,
especially if mitigation of ensuing traffic problems was recognized as a definite
need when the city approved the upzoning request for that particular parcel?
● Should JJSNA create a either a permanent committee with a focus on pedestrian
and traffic safety issues within the neighborhood and on its periphery or ad hoc
committees to deal with specific issues as they arise?
