Planning, establishing and implementing Risk Based Inspection program in all the production units of GLT, LPU, FGP,
ASU, and UTL.
Coordinating with section heads to organize the RBI team, conducting front-end Corrosion Engineering and data
gathering workshops prior to the commencement of RBI analysis.
Carrying out external, internal and on-stream inspection of static equipment, piping and above ground storage tank for
their health assessment.
Health assessment of furnaces tubes and other parts using various NDTs like VT, SR UT, LR UT, DPT, RT,
thermography etc.
Corrosion Monitoring, performing failure investigations, root cause analysis (RCA) and Metallurgical Analysis.
Execution RBI program using API-580 guidelines, developing the plant integrity assurance manual (PIAM), web
inspection management system (w-IMS),
Formulating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Keeping abreast of emerging trends and technologies within your relevant field.
Inspects plant stationary equipment by entering vessels, tanks and towers, during shutdowns/ Turn around, to check
condition of equipment. Includes noting observations on cracks, pits, thinning and any other pattern of erosion, corrosion
and other interior failure. Makes interpretations of findings, analyses for failure, prepares report and issues
recommendation.
Conduct on stream inspection for equipment condition monitoring
Monitoring the service contractor’s performance and develop service progress report according to the quality control
plan
Inspects maintenance and capital project works being carried out in the plant, to ensure that specified maintenance
practices and procedures are followed for welding, installation and fabrication as per policy and in compliance with
international fabrication codes and standard.
Conducts periodic inspections accordance with pre-established programs and procedures including witnessing of testing
on all existing static surface facilities including pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems and associated structures/
accessories for purpose of determining integrity and suitability for continued safe and reliable service
Maintain inspection files and records system and prepares for repair or replacement of equipment based upon analysis
of inspection results.
Participates in all quality control/ Quality assurance aspects of new construction activities
Perform, issues and review of the Quality control plan for all new projects.
Supervises and coordinates NDT crews and Selects appropriate NDT techniques required for condition evaluation and
interprets their results to applicable codes
Performing visual on-stream inspection and shop/overhaul inspection for gate, globe, check, ball and safety valves as
per related code
Witnessing pressure relief valves testing & calibration.
Supervises and co-ordinates contracted NDT team whenever required
Review of welding documents as welding procedure specification (WPS) with its related requirement procedure
qualification record (PQR) as per ASMESEC IX
Witness & certificate review for welder performance qualification record (WPQ) as per ASME SEC IX.
Follow up implementation of welding procedure specification (WPS) in work shop and sites
Follow up implementation of welder performance qualification record (WPQ) and issues analytic repair percentage
Radiographs Interpretation, witness application of NDT and endorse QC reports
Review and approved NDE procedures as per ASME SEC V
Inspection of material certificates for review as per ASME SEC II and ASTM.
Inspection of stock materials delivered to company and assurance of its compliance
Review post weld heat treatment (PWHT) procedure and its results charts or records as per ASME SEC. VIII
Supervision and preparation for leak test, Nitrogen purging and Pneumatic test for equipment and piping

Job Profile: -
Supervision and coordination of all on-stream and shutdown inspection/NDT activities of plant static equipment including
pressure vessels, separators, disasters, dehydrators, heat exchangers, coolers, columns, heaters, PSVs, piping,
pipelines, tanks, etc.
Supervision of a team of inspectors, multi-disciplined NDT and rope access personnel to complete client inspection
program.
Identifying areas of special concern and deterioration (e.g., dead legs, injection points, buried piping, corrosion under
insulation (CUI), erosion & corrosion/erosion), preparation of inspection procedures to follow-up their resolution to
improve Plant integrity.
Review and analysis of previous inspection reports to summarize the integrity status of the plant equipment, piping
systems and pipelines.
Carrying out in-service inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, fin fan coolers, fired heaters, RVs, process
piping systems, pipelines and tanks to assure the mechanical integrity.
Carrying out initial, detailed and final internal visual inspection complemented with NDT examination for the static
equipment including pressure vessels, separators, disasters, dehydrator, heat exchangers, coolers, columns, heaters
and tanks etc.
Preparation of inspection reports/certificates with all findings, abnormalities and recommendations.
Assist and participate in RBI analysis and developing the inspection plans/frequencies for static equipment, piping and
pipelines.
Witnessing of pressure relief valves calibration and testing.
Cooperate and communicate with the Corrosion Engineer to investigate / resolve issues related to corrosion/erosion.
Inspect any completed repairs, modifications and/or replacement.
Review/Approve of WPS, PQR, WPQT, NDT, PWHT procedures & qualification of NDT technician.
Review/Approve hydrostatic test package for pipelines & pressure vessels.

Familiar with in-service inspection and construction codes/RPs such as API 570, API 510, API 653, API 650, API RP
