C OURSE DESCRIPTION :

This course deals with the educational foundations of Physical Education as these apply
to teaching and learning in the elementary grades. Various teaching strategies and
assessment appropriate for each area shall be given emphases in the cours es.

1. Demonstrate in -depth understanding of the concept, elements and principles of


physical education and health in the elementary grades.
2. Employ varied teach ing strat egies in teaching physical education and health in
the elementary level.
