● What is qualitative research? When do we use this type of research?

In qualitative research, non-numerical data is gathered and evaluated to assess

ideas and thoughts critically. The qualitative approach sought to resolve 'how' and 'why'
concerns by giving deep insights that quantitative techniques cannot provide. Qualitative
research adds to the value of your data. It's the link that connects the sentiments that
fuel action and the thoughts that come before choices.

● What are the different ways of collecting data making use of qualitative research?
Describe each of the ways.

The different ways of accumulating data for qualitative research are interviews,
surveys, observations, and group discussions. These are the mainly used ways. In
interviews, the researcher has the freedom to create open-ended questions that the
participants will answer. Surveys in qualitative research also use open-ended questions,
which are often in text box format. On the other hand, observation only includes the
characteristics and doesn't involve any numerical data. Lastly, group discussion is an
approach to gain in-depth insights into how individuals of the group understand the issue
they are tackling.

● In case you have to enroll in DISS I and you are tasked to do qualitative research,
