CHAPTER 1

PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

INTRODUCTION

Every year there is an innovation that is made this innovation help all the people

to do better than they had before. The researcher is developing something. This

something is Magnetico 20 is used to collect the metal chips in the machining shop. The

researcher came up with this name because this innovation has a functioning part that is

made up of magnets. While 20 come from the year 2020 because the researcher started

this research on the year 2020.” Many modern technologies rely on the use of permanent

magnets to reduce weight owing to their density of magnetic energy Neodymium Iron

boron magnets are among the strongest permanent magnets currently available" [ CITATION

Wul17 \l 1033 ].

At this present time, some shops have a hard time collecting metal chips. Metal

chips are the small particle of the metal that is taken off by the workpiece. Metal chips

can cause some injury and also these metal chips can enter some narrow area places that

are hard to be collected by the use of soft/stick broom is the traditional way in collecting

the metal chips, yet this method can’t collect the metal chips truly.” Metal is removed as

a plastically deformed chip of appreciable dimensions and a united analysis can be

carried out using basic and oblique cutting models” [ CITATION Ste16 \l 1033 ].

7|Page
In the machining shop, many problems need to be solved one of these is all about

collecting metal chips. Metal chips very little but they can cause great danger. The

researchers observed that many metal chips are scattered on the floor. That even the soft

broom and stick broom have a hard time collecting these metal chips. “It is known that

one of the main issues of heat in complex design air-heating collectors is the problem of

determining the coefficient of convective heat transfer in some parts of

absorbers”[ CITATION Uzb \l 1033 ]

The researcher seeks to identify the significant difference of level of satisfaction

of the 29th batch on the soft/stick broom and the Magnetico 20 in terms of durability, ease

of use, accessibility, and safety. Furthermore, this study also wants to have a deep

understanding of the similarities and differences of these two methods.

This research will contribute to the school administrators and sisters because they

will not spend much money on buying the cleaning materials. T.V.E. teachers also can

benefit from this research because they will not be bothered anymore about the

cleanliness in the shop. Most of all the students because they will not spend

anymoremuch time cleaning the shop. Future researchers also can have a piece of

background knowledge about this research, and they can improve what this research must

improve.

DEFINITIONS OF TERMS

A. Operational

Magnetico 20 - is a prototype that is made of magnets.

B. Conceptual

Metal chips- is the small particles of the metal chips that is taken off by the workpiece.

Magnet- is an object that has a magnetic field.

Workpiece- is a raw metal that is used to produce the desired product.

CHAPTER 2

RELATED OF REVIEW LITERATURE

By producing and applying weariness information for electrical steels, in

conjunction with FE- based attractive, auxiliary, and weariness modeling, the paper

summarizes how different magnet-slot plans and rotor profiles can be surveyed beneath

an ordinary HEV engine obligation cycle. Such understanding gives great pointers to

optimized engine rotor profiles with adjusted solidness and attractive flux thickness

within the airgap. [ CITATION Gao10 \l 1033 ]. A magnet can be used in other technologies

because of its durability it is used as the main source to other technologies. For example,

in the speaker one source of the speaker is the magnet without the magnet the speaker

will not function. The durability of the magnet is based on how the capacity of the

magnet is.

The tall and customary porosity of metal-organic systems (MOFs) gives

uncommon properties appropriate for mechanical applications. The expanding intrigued

of the logical community is based on the investigation of these profitable mechanical

applications. [ CITATION Ric13 \l 1033 ]. Metal-organic systems (MOFs) have unusual

14 | P a g e
properties for mechanical applications due to their high and normal porosity. The

investigation of these lucrative mechanical applications has piqued the interest of the

logical community. An item’s convenience is related to the way it can be utilized by

clients to attain its objectives with adequacy and fulfillment in a particular utilized

setting. This paper had as an objective to assess the convenience of magnetic

reverberation (MR) hardware in a few wellbeing administrations within the city of

Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. [ CITATION Raf15 \l 1033 ]. The ease with which clients can

use an item to achieve its goals with adequacy and fulfillment in a specific use setting is

referred to as item convenience. This paper aimed to evaluate the utility of a magnetic

reverberation (MR) apparatus in a few health administrations in Recife, Pernambuco,

Brazil. The current streaming interior of a dye-sensitized sun-powered cell (DSSC) was

measured employing a high-temperature superconductor superconducting quantum

obstructions gadget (HTS-SQUID)-based attractive estimation framework. [ CITATION

Sak16 \l 1033 ]. A high-temperature superconductor superconducting quantum

obstructions gadget (HTS-SQUID)-based attractive estimation framework was used to

calculate the current streaming within a dye-sensitized sun driven cell (DSSC). The

amazing accomplishments of US quickening agent magnet R8D incorporate, field quality

and field gradient of magnets, fruitful innovation mechanical- inaction and application in

practical accelerators, and development of the world’s biggest superconductor industry

within the USA. [ CITATION Gou16 \l 1033 ]. Field efficiency and field gradient of

magnets, fruitful mechanical advancement and application in functional accelerators, and

growth of the world's largest superconductor industry within the United States are just a

few of the remarkable achievements of US quickening agent magnet R8D. A parcel of

15 | P a g e
inquiring about has been conducted within the field of metal cutting of carburizing steels.

Therefore, the display work points at clarifying the impact of the created chips from the

chip breakage test, setting them.[CITATION Ånm16 \l 1033 ]. In the field of metal cutting of

carburizing steels, there has been a lot of research. As a result, the display work focuses

on clarifying and setting the impact of the produced chips from the chip breakage test.

Metal cleanliness that changes agreeing to the ultimate item. As well regularly,

channels are treated as they were alternative to move forward metal cleanliness. All the

liquid aluminum channels utilized in the industry nowadays act by evacuating a rate of

the approaching incorporations. The cleanliness of the metal coming into the channel is

thus basic to the ultimate ingot quality. [CITATION Che \l 1033 ]. Metal cleanliness varies

depending on the final product. Channels are often treated as an alternative to advance

metal cleanliness daily. In today's industry, all liquid aluminum channels work by

evacuating a rate of approaching incorporations. As a result, the cleanliness of the metal

entering the channel is critical to the final ingot consistency. Particularly within the

machining and apparatus business, intrigued in how to handle the reusing of cutting

liquids and metal chips has expanded since these materials are profoundly harmful.

Cutting liquids increment instrument life and efficiency by cooling and greasing up amid

handlings. In any case, cutting liquids and metal chips result in natural contamination and

is destructive to the human body. In arrange to illuminate the issues related to these

materials, eco-friendly innovations for the reusing of cutting liquids and metal chips have

been proposed by analysts and mechanical laborers. [ CITATION Lee17 \l 1033 ]. Because

cutting liquids and metal chips are extremely hazardous, interest in how to manage their

reuse has grown, especially in the machining and apparatus industry. Cutting liquids

16 | P a g e
extend the life and reliability of instruments by cooling and lubricating them during

handling. Cutting liquids and metal chips, in any case, cause natural pollution and are

harmful to humans.

The molecule disseminations of this fabric are steady over a few months. In any

case, its solidness has not however been completely examined. Hence, we created

modern gear to test continuance and inspected the solidness of the magnetorheological

impact of the NanoMRF as well as a commercially accessible MRF. [ CITATION Abe17 \l

1033 ]. The durability of a magnet is not based on its appearance but on how it undergoes

the process of its limits.

The current format of a machining workshop pointed at minimizing the fabric of

taken care toll, expanding administrator security, moving forward adaptability for

operation, minimizing the by and large taken a toll, and utilizing the accessible region. A

successful plan of water-powered briquette press is carried out by employing a strong

displaying device and recreating the pressure-driven circuit. The result of the planned

machine was watched to address the expressed issues of the company. [ CITATION Keb19 \l

1033 ]. The current format of a machining workshop is aimed at lowering the overall

taken toll, increasing administrator protection, increasing operational adaptability,

lowering the overall taken toll, and utilizing the available space. Using a powerful

viewing system and recreating the pressure-operated circuit is a good strategy for a

water-powered briquette press.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

36 | P a g e
SUMMARY

The main objective of this study is to know the level of satisfaction of 29 th batch

in cleaning the metal chips in the shop by the use of the old method which is soft/stick

broom and the new method which is the Magnetico 20 in the Sister of Mary School-

Boystown, Inc., Tungkop, Minglanilla, Cebu. Furthermore, it seeks to answer the

following question: 1.) What is the level of satisfaction of 29 th Batch on the soft/stick

broom method of cleaning metal chips in terms of durability, ease of use, accessibility,

cleanliness, reduction of waste, safety and resolving the problem in the shop. 2.) What is

the level of satisfaction of 29th Batch on the Magnetico 20 method of cleaning metal chips

in terms of durability, ease of use, accessibility, cleanliness, reduction of waste, safety

and resolving the problem in the shop. 3.) Is there a significant difference on the level of

satisfaction of 29th batch on the use of the soft/stick broom method and Magnetico 20 in

cleaning metal chips in terms of durability, ease of use, accessibility, cleanliness,

reduction of waste, safety and resolving the problem in the shop.

This research integrated Comparative Quantitative research design, also this

research selects all the machining major of the 29 th batch both morning and afternoon

which is the total of 53 respondents. The sampling was used in this research was non-

probability sampling specifically purposive non-random sampling. An online survey was

used by the researchers in gathering the data, mean, standard deviation, frequency count

and percentage. In treating and analyzing the data, the statistical tools used by the

researchers were Mean Score, Frequency Count and Percentage.

CONCLUSION

37 | P a g e
After the analysis the researchers found out that there is a significant difference

between the soft/stick broom and Magnetico20 method in cleaning the metal chips in the

shop, in which the hypothesis is rejected since there is significant difference between the

two methods. It is clear stated in the analysis that the level of satisfaction of 29 th batch on

both methods in terms of durability, ease of use, accessibility, cleanliness, reduction of

waste, safety and resolving the problem in the shop. Magnetico 20 is more satisfactory

than the old method which is soft/stick broom.
