NOTE! Turn the starter key to the stop position

Remove the connector from the sensor. Connect
adapter cable 999 853 4 to cable harness connector to
engine control unit.

Use multimeter 9812519 for voltage measurement.

Turn the starter key to drive position.

Special tools: 9812519, 999 8534

NOTE! Turn the starter key to the stop position.

Remove the connector from the sensor. Connect
adapter cable 999 8534 to sensor.*
* NOTE! Do not connect the other end of the adapter cable to the
engine cable harness, since this can cause a measurement error.

Use multimeter 9812519 to measure the resistance of
the sensor.

3–4 R ≈ 1.9 kΩ (at 20 °C (68 °F))


3–4 R ≈ 0.1 kΩ (at 100 °C (212 °F))
