Feasibility Study of Tripshooter (Tourism Management System)

Introduction
The goal of the feasibility study is to identify the operational, technical and economic and
environmental benefits of proposed project “Tourism Management System”. During the
feasibility study, the focus is on determining the user needs, studying the application area in depth,
assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the present work method and reporting results to
authority. Major objective of the application is to provide users desired service. The new system
may change from moving a hardcopy, report-based environment to a screen-display environment,
new types of information, in different formats, are required. Feasibility study explores system
requirements to determine project feasibility. There are several fields of a feasibility study
including economic feasibility, operational feasibility, technical feasibility. The goal is to
determine whether the system can be implemented or not. The process of feasibility study takes as
input the required details as specified by the user and other domain-specific details. The output of
this process simply tells whether the project should be undertaken or not and if yes, what would
the constraints be. Additionally, all the risks and their potential effects on the projects are also
evaluated before a decision to start the project is taken.
Technical Feasibility
Technical Feasibility refers to the ability of the process to take advantage of the current state of
the technology in pursuing further improvement. The technical capability of the personal as well
as the capability of the available technology should be considered. In this project, we are making
a desktop& web-based software. To use this software, a computer has to be bought. To make it
feasible, other equipment should be bought like computer table and different computer accessories.
We hope our software would be more feasible for the management of Tourism. In this system, it
would be helpful to generate invoice to update database and would be helpful to produce other
function and would be to store information about users (i.e., customers) details etc. By this
software, the management can will be able to generate report for every function. With the
consideration of Tourism Management System, we prefer this proposed system which is going
to be developed as partially automated to reduce the time& cost of the Tourism Management
System as well as maintenance the system.
Operational Feasibility
In Operational Feasibility degree of providing service to requirements is analyzed along with
how much easy product will be to operate and maintenance after deployment. Along with these
other operational scopes are determining usability of product, determining suggested solution by
software development team is acceptable or not etc. We have made this to fulfill all the
requirements of this project. This software could do all operational activities easily. We tried our
best to make it best user friendly for the users. Proposed system is beneficial only if it can be turned
out into information system. That will meet the organization’s operating requirements. Some of
the important issues raised are to test the operational feasibility of the project includes the
following;
1. Is there sufficient support for the management from the users?
2. Will the system be used and work properly if it is being developed and implemented?
3. Will there be any resistance from the users that will undermine the possible application
benefits?
This system is targeted to be in accordance with the above-mentioned issues. Beforehand, the
management issues and user requirements have been taken into consideration. So, there is no
question of resistance from the users that can undermine the possible application benefits. The
well-planned design would ensure the optimal utilization of the computer resources and would
help in the improvement of performance status.
Economic Feasibility
In Economic Feasibility study cost and benefit of the project is analyzed. Means under this
feasibility study a detail analysis is carried out what will be cost of the project for development
which includes all required cost for final development like hardware and software resource
required, design and development cost and operational cost and so on. After that it is analyzed
whether project will be beneficial in terms of finance for organization or not. Economic
justification is generally the “Bottom Line” consideration for most systems. Economic
justification includes a broad range of concerns that includes cost benefit analysis. In this, we
weight the cost and the benefits associated with the candidate system and if it suits the basic
purpose of the organization i.e., profit making, the project is making to the analysis and design
phase. The financial and the economic questions during the preliminary investigation are verified
to estimate the following;
1. The cost to conduct a full system investigation.
2. The cost of hardware and software for the class of application being considered.
3. The benefits in the form of reduced cost.
4. The proposed system will give the minute information, as a result the performance is
improved which in turn may be expected to provide increased profits.
5. The feasibility checks whether the system can be developed with the available funds.
The “Tourism Management System” does not require enormous amount of money to be
developed. This can be done economically if planned judicially, so it is economically feasible. The
cost of project depends upon the number of man-hours required.
Schedule Feasibility
Time evaluation is the most important consideration in the development of project. The time
schedule required for the development of this project is very important since more development of
time effect machine time, cost and cause delay in the development of other systems. A reliable
Tourism Management System can be developed in the considerable amount of time.
Legal Feasibility
In Legal Feasibility, study project is analyzed in legality point of view. This includes analyzing
barriers of legal implementation of project, data protection acts or social media laws, project
certificate, license, copyright etc. Overall, it can be said that Legal Feasibility Study is study to
know if proposed project conforms legal and ethical requirements. The proposed project “Tourism
Management System” is simply to provide service to the customer who are willing to visit. It will
only store the data and information of the customers. Since it has nothing to do with the national
security issue, it will be legally approved. Since it has a feature for customer information, we will
be able to differentiate between good people travelling or bad people.
