The Ramanujan Contest 2021

The Srinivasa Ramanujan Trust, Mauritius and The University of Mauritius

are organizing The Ramanujan Contest 2021, which aims at popularizing
the work of Srinivasa Ramanujan and stimulating interest in Pure
Mathematics. This contest is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of
Ramanujan's death, which would otherwise have been observed during the
cancelled 2020 Contest.

Ramanujan was largely self-taught and is widely recognized as one of the greatest mathematicians of the
20th century. He rose from extreme poverty in a small village in South India to become the first Indian to
be awarded a B.A degree by research in Mathematics by Cambridge University and to be made a Fellow
of Trinity College, Cambridge. He also achieved the rare distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Royal
Society in London.

The Ramanujan Contest 2021 is a follow-up of the highly successful 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019
editions of the contest. The collected works of Srinavasa Ramanujan and his edited Notebooks are
