of the Philippine. A p olicy to ensure public safety , promote economic development through the
prevention and suppression of all forms , of destructive fires , and promote the professionalism
of fire service as a profession.

A building must have a fire exit located that is often seen by people and must also have a fire
alarm or automatic fire alarm that can be detected immediately. And there should also be stock
fire hose reels in the Building and in the Building there is also an automatic sprinker system. The
sprinkler operates automatically when the air temperature rises to or above the specified device
temperature rating. When that happens, the sprinkler releases water to a specified area. And there
is also a fire extinguisher in each part of the Building if there is a small fire the fire will stop
immediately. The fire extinguisher is simple to use and not difficult to use there is an instruction
on how to use. And the house also has a fire extinguisher.

Fire hazards should be immediately reduced.The Chief, BFP or his / her appropriate designee,
upon report that a violation of this Code or other relevant laws, rules and regulations is being
committed, shall issue a notice / order to comply with the owner, manager. , living or other
personresponsible for the condition of the building or structure, indicating among other things,
the period within which compliance shall be effected, which shall be within ten (10) to fifteen
(15) days after receiving the notice / order, depending on rationality to adequately comply with
both.

If after the expiration of the aforementioned period, the owner, administrator, occupant or
other responsible person fails to comply, the Chief, BFP or his / her authorized representative
shall place a sign on front of this building or structure is a fire hazard. Specifically, the notice
will carry the words “WARNING: THIS BUILDING / STRUCTURE IS A FIRE HAZARD”,
which will remain posted until such time as the owner, administrator, occupant or other person
responsible for the condition of the building , structure and their place or facilities appease the
same, but such period shall not exceed fifteen (15) days from the deviation of the first period
given in the notice / to comply.

Finally, upon the failure of the owner, manager, occupier or other persons responsible for the
condition of the building, structure and their premises or facilities to comply within the period
specified above, the Chief, BFP may issue of the order for such reduction.If the owner, manager
or occupier of the buildings, structures and their adjoining premises or facilities are not neglected
both within the period specified in said arrangement, the building, structure, place or facility
shall be ordered closed by the Chief, BFP or of hisproperly authorized representative
notwithstanding any permit clearance or certificate previously issued by local authorities.

Any building or structure assessed and declared by the Chief, BFP or his appropriate authorized
representative as a firetrap due to the gravity or palpability of the breach or poses a clear and
current imminent fire hazard in adjoining establishments and dwellings shall be declared a public
nuisance, as defined in the Philippine Civil Code in a notice to be given to the owner, manager,
occupier or other person responsible for the condition of the building, structure and their
premises or facilities. If the estimated amount of the nuisance or the amount to be spent on the
abatement of the same does not exceed One hundred thousand pesos (P100,000.00), the owner,
manager or occupier will remove the risk within Fifteen (15) days. , or if the estimated value is
more than One hundred thousand pesos (P100,000.00), within thirty (30) days from the receipt of
the order declaring the said building or structure a nuisance to the public , otherwise, the Chief,
BFP or his / her duly authorized representative must immediately cause its summary abatement.
Failure to comply within five (5) days from receipt of the notice shall cause the Chief, BFP or his
/ her appropriate designee to place a sign in front of the building or structure, at or near the
entrance of such jurisdiction, informing the public that such building or structure is a “FIRE
TRAP”, which will remain until the owner, manager, occupier or other person responsible for the
condition of the building, structure and their premises or facility is submerged in same specified
period.

The reduction summary used herein means all corrective measures taken to reduce the risks
which shall include, but are not limited to remodeling, repairs, strengthening, reconstruction,
removal and demolition, either part or whole, of a building or structure. The costs accrued by the
government for such reduction in summary shall be paid by the owner, administrator or occupier.
The costs constitute a new lien on such property.
