TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: SBM BENCHMARKING AT LUMAKIL INTEGARTED SCHOOL,
POLOMOLOK, SOUTH COTABATO

I. RATIONALE:

Teachers play a crucial role in improving the quality of teaching and learning
process. Good teachers are vital to raising student achievement. Hence, enhancing teacher
quality ranks foremost in the many educational reform efforts toward quality education.

To complement reform initiatives on teacher and school quality, it is vital to

improve, update and develop the School-Based Management (SBM) of Lambukay Integrated
School.

SBM as provided by RA 9155 is also legitimized the empowerment opportunity of

the school heads in improving the schools. It is also mandated by DepEd orders and
Memoranda, to conduct SBM validation. Hence, it its vital and important to be trained first
about the basics of SBM validation.

In line with this, teachers of Lambukay IS will conduct a Benchmarking activity at

Lumakil Integrated School, Polomolok, South Cotabato, to equip the teachers about the
documents needed for the regional SBM validation of Lambukay IS.

II. OBJECTIVES:

This SBM benchmarking aims:

1. To equip the teachers with skills in planning, managing, evaluating and

preparing for school-based management
2. To assess the current level of SBM practice of Lambukay integrated
school compared to Lumakil Integrated School.
3. To develop confidence among Lambukay IS teachers on facing the
challenges during the preparation and conduct of Regional SBM
validation.
 III. DATE AND VENUE:

This will be held on April 30, 2021 at 8:00 AM, at Lumakil Integrated School,
Polomolok, South Cotabato.
