ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Technology and Livelihood Education

The K to 12 Education Curriculum aims to develop and nurture every learner into a holistic
individual. However, covid-19 pandemic has led many unfortunate situations that the people are
currently going through. During these trying times the Department of Education are trying to find
alternatives and solutions that will help us overcome these trials.

The department proposed to continue classes with the use of technology or through modular
method. However, not many are in favor because it will not be the same especially with the subjects
that requires demonstration or subjects that can be easily taught with face to face. Like the Technology
and Livelihood Education (TLE) that requires the skills of the students rather than the knowledge that
they possess. It is really hard, considering that TLE can be a tricky subject at times, but the teachers are
also helping out in finding ways to teach the subject in a way that it can be easy for the students.

Teachers are coming up with the ideas of showing video presentations to students when
demonstrating a particular skill or competency so that they can see step by step on how things should
be done. In the self-learning modules teachers are also giving a step-by-step procedure in each activity
that can lessen students’ confusion during the learning process at home. These are the best alternatives
that can help students to continue learning while away from school with the help of their parents the
teaching and learning process will somehow continue.
