I. INTRODUCTION
I have my On-Job-Training in Genesys Telecommunication Laboratories located
at 15/F Cyberpark Tower One cor. Gen. Aguinaldo and Mc Arthur Avenues Araneta
Center, Quezon City. I knew about Genesys because my friend who is an intern in their
payroll department referred me to her supervisor in which during that time their general
accounting department is in need of on job trainees. They are looking for an intern
preferably an accounting major student on the said department. I started my training last
November 27, 2018. Before entering Genesys I have other companies that I’m
interested working at this includes Reyes Tacandong & Co., SGV, and PWC and
Megaworld but I didn’t apply because their locations are far from school and home. So
when I applied in Genesys and I was accepted I immediately started the training.
II. PERSONAL ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING FROM THE COMPANY

A. Cognitive or Intellectual Learning

I have learned several things during my stay at Genesys Telecommunications. I was
I applied my knowledge in MS Excel, and also I learned new shortcuts that could easily
do the summary and encoding of data. I also learned the computation of VAT, and
processing and payment of the BIR forms. I was also trained for the accounting of
income statement, and how to correctly recognize income and expense
B. Affective or Emotional Learning
The environment in Genesys is very nice. They treat every ntern as if they were true
employees. The employees are kind and fair in treating every intern in the company.
There are not those strict in terms of our mistakes and excuses, they know that we are
there to learn and gain experience in the corporate world. Everyone is well respected
from top to bottom. They celebrate every occasions like birthdays and holidays.
C. Psychomotor or Physical Learning
I had learned to communicate and act in a manner that could be appropriate and
acceptable in corporate world. Also I learned to be disciplined that always be on time
going to office, also finishing the task on the given deadline or before deadline. I also
experience to multitask and work quickly as I can. But it is important to always maintain
my composure and to work efficiently and effectively.
 III. AREAS TO IMPROVE
A. About Self
I would like to improve for myself is my communication skills in meeting different
persons iin the workplace. Also I would like to improve my confidence in facing in front
of many people. I am often shy and timid and I wasn’t able to express myself.
B. For the OJT Company
I have observed that the company is not too strict when it comes to time, even
during break times everyone can just go in and out anytime they wanted to and I think
sometimes such opportunity will just result to inefficient employees.
C. For the OJT Program
OJT program should not be simultaneous with the academics, I think it should be
done during summers just like in other schools or other program so that students can
focus more on their ojt as well as their academics.
IV. RECOMMENDATIONS
I would say that always believe in what you are capable of, have confidence believe in your
knowledge and skills. Always think positive and establish goals to achieve. For the Genesys
Company, have a strict time keeping. Lastly for the OJT Program be considerate enough and
understand the students.
