Manual Guide-i
Manual Guide-i, user friendly software for part programming, which is available in CNC simulator, it
makes easier for teaching turning and milling cycles. The innovative programming enables
development from a drawing to a production part in very short time.
Using Manual Guide-i in FANUC CNCs can be programmed, very easily and quickly for Turning,
Milling and Compound machining. Self-explanatory menu and graphic simulators guide the user
through the programming, producing highly efficient results even for complex machining processes.
The manual Guide – i, software is based on the ISO code format and has an ergonomic CNC user
interface for programming cycles. It uses graphic user interface with user friendly icons which allow
you to interactively create part programs in just few steps. All of the relevant information is
displayed on one CNC screen.
Integrated Operation & Programming Guidance, which supports entire operations on an all-
in-one screen for daily machining including creating a program, checking it, set-up and real
machining.

Setting up Robot and System Engineering
Roboguide is FANUC’s robot simulation software
that enables to simulate all robot
models (From small to heavy robot).

Advantages are:
1. Layout investigation:-
Import your 2D layout into the program
to optimize and verify the layout.

2. Simple modelling:-
Make use of the inbuilt CAD library for
simulations, or import your own CAD files
into the program or use the simple
modelling tool to create simple
geometrical shapes for simulation.

3. Program generation:-
Use the virtual teach pendent
(that is 1:1 replica of the actual teach pendent) to
write programs or use the graphical interface to move/jog the
robot and teach a simulation program.

4. Verification:-
Verify the cycle times, robot path and duty cycles for the actual
robot from the simulated robot. Load the simulation program to

Teach Different Applications
Palletizing
Palletizing is a function for the systematic stacking
of parts/
Work pieces by teaching only some representative
points.
A Stacking pattern can be created easily by
teaching representative stack points.
A Path pattern can be created by teaching path
points in form of approach, bottom and retraction
points.
By varying the path patterns, multiple variety of
palletizing patterns can be taught.

Part handling with Vision

i. 2D single view vision process is based on the

image matching.
ii. Takes the snap from using camera of the part
iii. Based on the comparison X, Y & R
compensations are detected.
iv. Based the relation value of X, Y & R with robot
co-ordinates, robot will handle the part.

Image to Path with 2DV

i. Vision process find chains of connected edge
points in an image captured by a 2D camera.
ii. The detected points on the outline & generate
offset data to compensate position deviation of
work pieces.
iii. Points extracted are converted into a TP
program
