Multimodality In Human Communication

and necessity of it in Language Teaching ..

Most of the language learning still apply the old learning patterns of teaching-centered
learning. Implementation of learning is often dominated by the teacher in delivering material and
rarely involves student activities. We called it teacher centered learning, a conventional or
traditional learning method.
The ability of teachers in communication is important in teaching and learning activity.in
this day, the role of a teacher as a facilitator in realizing effective learning requires a way of
communicating acceptable to students.
Multimodal refers to a person’s way of communicating by using more than one different
way at the same time. Multimodal and be applied in teaching pedagogy by combining modes of
communication by using Images, Audio Visual, and text in learning. By merging some way of
pedagogy in teaching the learning retention of a learner is higher.
Images and videos are some example of multimodal communication, images and videos are
form of learning media by using this method of teaching can make learning activities more
interesting. Student cam be motivated in the class and participative / active..

1. Noun
A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea.
Nouns are the subject of a sentence.

Ex. The bakery has fresh baked goods.

The dog was lonely for me.

2. PRONOUN
 A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.
 Examples: I, me, my, you, your, he, she, it , us, we, they, them, his,
her, their, mine, our, myself, himself, herself, itself, yourself,
themselves, ourselves, who, whose, whom, anybody, anyone,
everybody, nobody, someone, somebody.
 A pronoun is word that takes the place of a noun. Instead of saying
“Erin likes to eat”, you could say, “She likes to eat.” What is the pronoun in
the following sentence?
I sing loudly in the shower.

3. Adjective
Adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun. It tells what kind, how many,
or which one.

4. VERB
 A verb is the action of the sentence. It shows what someone or something
is doing.

5. ADVERB
 An adverb describes how the action is performed. They tell how much, how
often, when and where something is done.

6. CONJUNCTION
 A conjunction is a word that joins words or word groups together. Some
examples conjunctions are: and, but, or, nor, although, yet, so, either, and
also.
We ate pizza and drank pop for dinner.

Erin loves to swim and play at the beach.

7. PREPOSITION

 A preposition is a word that shows position or, direction. Some examples

8. INTERJECTION
Interjection- An interjection is a word that shows strong emotion. Such
examples are Wow!, Ouch!, Hurray!, and Oh no!
 Interjections can really liven up a sentence. They help to add voice to your
writing.
