Overview

M/s. Chaitanya Constructions is registered Civil Engineering firm mainly engaged in

construction of Railway / Railway Related Bridges with various types of construction
methods like PSC Girders, Box Girders, Steel Composite structures, Semi Thru Steel/PSC
Girders, Box Pushing Method and Cut and Cover method.

M/s Chaitanya Constructions formerly known as M/s. Naik & Badheka was started as
partnership firm in 1988 and have been delivering projects for various government bodies
since. The company has head office in Navi Mumbai and site establishments at various
locations. The company has ability to execute projects across the nation and has successfully
executed projects in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa and Gujarat.

We specialize in executing turnkey infrastructure projects for various government agencies

like Railways, PWD. We have executed highly specialized work of Box Pushing for the
Konkan Railway, Central Railways and Western Railways. We have executed works
construction of ROB’s involving work of Pre-stressed Post-tensioned Concrete Girders as
well as Composite Steel Girders. We have expertise in works involving heavy erection of
steel as well as concrete units using high capacity cranes as well as other erection
techniques.

The company is managed by experienced graduate engineers and has team of supervisors as
well as sub-contractors expert in various activities of construction process. We have
capability of assimilating any type of new techniques of constructions including the
equipments and manpower required.

We are registered in the Approved list of Contractors of Konkan Railway Corporation

Limited as Class ‘A’ Contractor & are also registered with Maharashtra PWD as Class ‘1-B’
contractor.

We own various equipments like hydraulic excavators, JCB loader and back hoe excavator,
Dumpers, Hydraulic Mobile Crane (Hydra), Tower crane, Piling rigs, Pickup trucks, Tower
crane, pushing equipments, Shuttering & Centring materials and Concrete mixers etc.

We believe in overcoming hurdles and ensuring timely and safe completion of our projects
and maintaining the highest quality of workmanship.

3. Construction of 3 Nos. of precast RCC Box (Clear size 4.0m x 2.0m)

partially by cut and cover technique under traffic block and partially by
cast in situ at Km.739/5-6

Client – KRCL, India

Type of Structure – Railway under Bridge (RUB )

Salient Features – The work consisted of Design & Construction of Casting Bed and
Construction of Precast RCC Boxes and Slabs and launching the Boxes and Slabs under the
running Konkan Railway Main Line under Traffic Block using one 200MT capacity road crane
and one 100MT capacity road crane
The work consisted of launching 54 Box Segments and 18 Slab Segments under the running
Railway line.

4. Design and construction of balance work RUB at RCF junction,

Chembur at km 17/2-3 on Kurla - Trombay line on Eastern Express
Highway

Client – MSRDC, Maharashtra

Type of Structure – Railway under Bridge (RUB)

Salient Features – The work consisted of Design and construction of Steel Semi through Type
Railway Bridge Supported on Cross PSC Box Girder Forming Rigid Portal with piers at the toe
of Embankment with Pile Foundation.
The work Consists launching of 130 MT PSC Box Girder in Railway Block with 600 MT
capacity Crawler Crane.
Placing 110 MT Steel semi through Girder at position by Pushing method in Railway Block.

5. Widening of Existing ROB at KMS 24/4-5 on Jogeshwari Vikroli Link

Road at Kanjurmarg Mumbai.

Client – MSRDC, Maharashtra

Type of Structure – Railway Over Bridge

Salient Features – The work consisted of widening of existing Kanjurmarg ROB by

constructing three span bridge on either side of existing bridge.
The Bridge construction involved Pile foundation and Circular Piers as substructure.
Superstructure consisted of Voided Slab, PSC Concrete Girders and Steel Composite Girders
respectively in three spans and Reinforced Earth wall and RCC retaining wall in approach
with asphalting layers.

6. Construction and extension of bridge at Km. 34/1- Vitawa RUB, Bridge No. 5-
Mukund RUB & other minor bridges juinagar & Belapur on Thane-Turbhe-Nerul-
Vashi Project.

Client – MTP, Central Railway.

Type of Structure – PSC Slab & PSC Girders on Open Footing type foundation.

Salient Features – Prestressed Post tensioned Concrete Semi Thru Girder cast in situ
monolithically at Mukand RUB and PSC flat slab cast in situ at higher level and lowering to
location by Hydraulic Jacks at Vitava.

Salient Features –Railway Under Bridge ( RUB ) of size 2X 10.5 X 4.85 30 Mtr Barrel length
by Box pushing method. The work involves hard rock excavation using special equipment -
Rock Splitters to ensure safety of the Railways.

10.Proposed construction of RUB near LC 24 at Km 26/12-13 at Bardoli by Box Pushing

method

Client – Shri Khedut Sahakari Khand Udyog Mandali Limited, Post Sardar Baug, Baben,
Bardoli, Dist :Surat, Gujarat.

Type of Structure – Railway Under Bridge

Salient Features – It was a Turnkey project involving Construction of RCC Box and Pushing
the RCC Box under the Running Railway Track for a Cooperative Sugar Factory in Gujrat. We
were responsible for coordination with The Western Railway to carry out the safely and
meeting all the requirements of both The Railways and the Sugar Factory.

11.Providing and laying of 2 X 4.0 X2.5 m Precast RCC Box RUB between MAO – MJO
at Km. 440/261

Client – Konkan Railway Corporation Limited.

Type of Structure – Railway Under Bridge

Salient Features - RCC Box pushed under running Railway line to create opening without
disturbing the Railway Track safely under Heavy Rainfall conditions of Konkan region.

pushing & partly by cast-in-situ method and extension of Br No. 32/2( 1X3.00m

Juinagar- Nerul Corridor.
