On Substance abuse education

1. What is your role or contribution in the fight against substance misuse and abuse?

Substance misuse is one of the most pervasive problems facing our society, costing over
billions in healthcare costs, diminishing jobs, related crime and other social effects, and
contributing to hundreds of deaths each year. In addition, my role and contribution to prevent
this problematic situation is to support people with mental illness and to support those in need
of care. I would also like to propose to the government its implementation in training students
in preventing substances within the school curriculums or systems, and to prevent further use
of substances, to include rehabilitation facilities, to reach high-risk groups, to limit the
purchase of illicit drugs on the economy and to eliminate drug consumers.
