ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL STUDENTS ======================================================= The University Senate at its sitting on Friday, 30th July, 2021 resolved that students shall report back to campus in a phased manner to avoid overcrowding as the university continues to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines. Students at the Riverside and Mpika Campuses are expected to report back on the following dates:-
(a) Riverside and Mpika Campuses
1. Sunday, 22nd August, 2021
Five years Programmes – 5th and 4th years Four years Programmes- 4th and 3rd years Diploma Programmes – 3rd and 2nd years
2. Sunday, 19th September, 2021
Five years Programme – 3rd, 2nd and 1st Years Four years Programme- 2nd and 1st years Diploma Programmes – 1st years (b) Students at Michael Chilufya Sata School of Medicine shall report back to Campus as follows:-
1. Sunday, 22nd August, 2021.
Clinical years 4th, 5th and 6th years Biomed Classes 4th & 5th years
2. Sunday, 29th August, 2021
Pre-clinical years 2nd and 3rd years Biomed Classes 2nd & 3rd years Environmental & Public Health Classes
(c) Riverside campus – Evening Programmes
Semester Evening Programmes for Schools of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences and Information and Communication Technology will switch to Physical classes on 23rd August 2021.
(d) School of Graduate Studies
All students for Evening and Distance for Business
and Project Management Programmes and Full Time MSc. Programmes (Mathematics, Biology, Physics & Chemistry Education and Biology and Physics Programmes shall report on 23rd August 2021. Revision and tests on 23rd August 2021 to 27th August 2021. Sessional Examinations shall begin 30th August, 2021. (e) Lusaka Campus
All students for Postgraduate and Undergraduate
Programmes shall report and begin revision on 23rd August, 2021. Revision shall run from 23rd August 2021 to 27th August 2021.
Sessional Examinations shall begin on 30th August,
2021.
(f) Solwezi Campus
Students at Solwezi Campus shall NOT have residential School in August 2021. However, during the period they were to be on residential school students shall have lectures online from 16th August to 10th September, 2021.
(g) Directorate of distance Education and
Open Learning (DDEOL)
Students under this study mode are not affected by
this announcement.
It is important for students to note that this is the
final segment of the 3rd term of the 2020/2021 Academic year during which sessional examinations will be taken. Therefore, students should ensure that they meet the minimum requirement for them to be eligible to write examinations in terms of tuition fees payments.
Students who may not have reached the 80%
threshold of fees will NOT be allowed to write the examinations.
