 The Joy Gathering resumes Sunday, September 5th at 10:15 am in the Fellowship Hall.

 Please pray for the session as we meet on Saturday, August 28th to continue
discernment regarding the future direction of EPC.

 A Service of Installation for Rev. Connie Happell as Designated Pastor of Edgewood will be
held on Sunday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with a reception following
the service. Please come if you can!

 Handbells will rehearse on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.

 Men’s Prayer Breakfast

1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month on zoom—8:00 am.

 Our session met last Sunday, and you will notice a new announcement regarding Covid-
19: In the interest of safety, if you enter our facilities and then become diagnosed with
COVID, please contact our pastor, Connie Happell at 913-205-2363 so everyone can be
alerted of their possible exposure. Your name will be kept anonymous.

MINUTE FOR MISSIONS

1. Pray for Gods guidance and protection as the Haugen’s travel to their new home today and
tomorrow. Ask God to help them adapt quickly to the new climate and culture.
2. Pray for the people of Haiti to receive the help they need as they recover from the recent
earthquake.
The Discipleship/Outreach Team would like to make the following
announcements:
The In-Person Children’s Sunday School Class that has been meeting at
9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings will NOT meet for the foreseeable
future.
Zooming with Kids, which has been meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday
afternoons on Zoom, is also NOT meeting now.
Nursery Services are being offered on an as-needed basis, and will be
provided by volunteers.
Children’s Church will continue to be offered each Sunday following the
Children’s Message in the worship service. It is available for children
age 4 through second grade.

These were not easy decisions, but the Team believes they are necessary at
this time. However, we also want you to know that Sheryl Wright and
Cynthia Frey are ready at any time to reinstate the classes. If you want or
need an in-person class for your children, grandchildren, great
grandchildren, or other children age 4 through fifth grade or nursery
services, please call Sheryl (706-577-5482). If you prefer the safety and
convenience of a Zoom class, call Cynthia (706-315-8151).
