ASL SPEAKING SKILL (ENGLISH)


CLASS X
DATE OF ASSESSMENT: FRIDAY, APRIL 09, 2021

Please note the following:

Assessment of Speaking Skill in English will take place on Friday, April 09,
2021 on the Zoom platform.

ASL Speaking Skill is an integral part of Internal Assessment component of


English.

Links and passwords for the pupils will be posted on the English Board of
SKOLARO by 9:00 pm on Thursday, April 08, 2021.

The time slots for English ASL (Speaking) are as follows:

43 0nwards 11:30 am – 12:30 pm 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Pupils must appear for English ASL (Speaking) during the slot given to them.
They should be ready to be called at any point of time during their slot and must
patiently await their turn in the waiting room.

Apart from the pupil, no one else should be present in the virtual room while his /
her assessment is going on.

Pupils are advised to carry any form of photo identity such as last year’s School
Identity Card or Aadhar Card.

Pupils have to be in school uniform.

Pupils must be visible on the screen during ASL, otherwise assessment will not
take place.

Pupils must ensure that they are clearly audible to the examiner.

ASL will be a pair activity.

The pair will be randomly chosen by the examiner.

Each pupil must select any ONE topic from the list and prepare a one-
minute SPEECH on it.

(Note: The speech must not contain matters which are sensitive and
might hurt the sentiment of others)

After a pupil completes speaking, his / her partner will ask the speaker a
question on it.

Then the examiner will ask the speaker a few more questions.

The same procedure will be repeated for first speaker’s partner.

The first speaker must listen to the partner’s speech carefully.
