ACTIVITY 1

nakakatulong sayo pagdating sa disaster

This will help give ideas on what to pack. Often, we are distracted by figuring out the
perfect item to pack. However, with the 6 C’s are we understand that it is more important
to have the critical things. By planning properly, you can ensure that your bags are
properly packed in order to make it through any potential situation. Whether it is a bug
out bag, a hiking pack, a ruck sack or even your daily bag, maintaining these items in
your bag will help you.

Survival is taking any given circumstance, accepting it, and trying to improve it, while
sustaining your life until you can get out of the situation. And most importantly, survival
is a state of mind. Survival depends a great deal on a person's ability to withstand stress in
emergency situations

Whether you’re
drinking or brushing
your teeth, water is
essential for everyday
life. After an
emergency such as a
tornado, flood or
earthquake, the water
that comes out of your
tap might not be safe to
drink — if it’s running
at all. That’s why you
need to have at least a
three-day supply of
bottled water stored at
home, with one gallon
per person per day. And
don’t forget to include
water for your pets!

2. Three-day supply of nonperishable food


Choose foods that don’t require refrigeration or special preparation and aren't high in salt.
Look for canned fruit packed in juice, not syrup. Be sure to rotate your supplies every six
months to keep food fresh, using the clock change as a reminder. 
3. Manual can opener
Don’t forget to include a manual can open in your stockpile to open all of your canned
food items easily and safely.
4. First-aid kit
Injuries can happen during disasters. Therefore, having a basic first-aid kit with such as
sterile gloves, gauze, soap, burn ointment, bandages in a variety of sizes, pain relievers,
scissors and tweezers.
5. Radio
A radio is essential to
receive emergency
information. Any hand-
cranked or battery-
operated radio can
provide important
information on weather or
evacuation alerts.
6. Flashlights and
lanterns
When the power’s out, it can be dangerous to walk around. Keep flashlights and battery-
operated lanterns in your stockpile so you can stay safe and lit. Remember: Candles aren't
the safe choice!
7. Batteries
Batteries are essential
during a disaster. It can
be hard to locate batteries
when the power is out, so
keeping them in your
disaster stash makes
sense.
8. Whistle to signal for
help
It can be helpful to keep a whistle on a keychain or taped under your desk for fast access
during a disaster. Three blasts from a whistle is an internationally recognized distress
signal. 
9. Prescription
medications
If you regularly use
prescription medications,
it’s key that you have
access to them in an
emergency. Talk to your doctor or health care provider about getting an extra supply to
keep in your stockpile.
10. Battery-operated or solar cellphone charger
Cellphones can be essential for communicating with your family, emergency responders
and local authorities. A battery-operated or solar cellphone charge can ensure you will
have access to a charged phone, even when the power is out

11. Feminine products

No explanation necessary, right?

12. Water purification tablets

In case when the stock water is already consume. They can use water purification tablets
for cleansing
13. Toiletries
An emergency kit should also contain a supply of basic toiletries such as toothbrushes,
personal hygiene products, toothpaste, soap and shampoo

14. . SWISS ARMY KNIFE


The importance of a portable multi-tool in emergency kit cannot be overestimated. Its
components be used for eating, opening canned goods, cutting through clothing, etc.

15. BLANKET
A lightweight portable blanket is useful in both hot and wet conditions. This can be used
as protection during a typhoon, fire, flood, etc.

16. WATERPROOF CASE


This case can protect your phone and cash in case you need to wade through floods or be
exposed to rain. Even better, you can use a waterproof bag for your entire emergency kit
to ensure that the contents stay dry

17.  ROPE
There are several practical uses for rope during emergency situations, including a lifeline,
rapelling from high places, building a shelter, securing items, and so much more.

18. ID
Assets. Depending on the kind of emergency, you'll need your ID to access bank
accounts and claim other assets you hold.

19. Cash
After a disaster, no one will be able to take your credit card, but you'll need money for
food, fuel, transport, and more.

20. The Pet Emergency Bag


if you have your pet with you it is also important to have this bag. First, your pet
emergency bag should have enough supplies to carry you through a minimum of three
days. This helps to ensure that you can focus on what you and your family really need,
not what to feed Fido in the middle of an evacuation. This relieves stress, increases
safety, and decreases evacuation time in an emergency
