4.4 Procedure
1. Setup the apparatus.
2. Check the working of engine by starting it with dynamometer.
3. Turn on the air flow from cooling apparatus.
4. Fill the fuel tank with gasoline fuel.
5. Set appropriate value of load on engine test bed.
6. Start the engine by pulling the thread.
7. Adjust the air fuel ratio by adjusting the valve.
8. Note the readings for torque, pressures, current and voltage.
9. Repeat the experiment by varying loads and speeds.

4.7 Graphs
4.8 Comments
5 First four graphs will be drawn at 1200 and 1400 rpm while the next four graphs will be
drawn at 20% and 100% load
6 In the first graph which will be drawn between load and torque as far as load is increasing
torque is increasing
7 The second graph will be drawn between load and Manifold pressure. When the load is
increasing in the engine the manifold pressure also increases
8 The third and fourth shows the same trend by increasing load Brake power and cylinder
pressure increases
9 In the fifth graph which is drawn between RPM vs torque. At start torque increases at rapid
speed then at 1400 RPM it increases steady
10 In the sixth graph which is draw between RPM vs Manifold pressure. First manifold pressure
increases then start decreasing at 1400 RPM
11 In seventh one it shows same trend as in manifold pressure
12 In eight one it is like fifth. At start brake power increases rapidly the remain at steady at 1400
RPM
