Project Title: Foot Operated Hand Sanitizer

Project Time-frame: The project will be implemented before the Opening of Classes on
August 24, 2020 and until such the COVID 19 situation flatten its curve.

I. Project Contacts
Persons involved are the; school personnel, school visitors, barangay
officials involved in the distributions and retrieval of modules.

II. Project Summary

This machine was innovated to address the present health conditions of
every individual exposed to COVID 19 virus that resulted to a fatal death of
some if the immune system is weak to combat the virus. This project aims to
reduce the exposure of viruses and bacteria with contact-less DIY machine
through the use of foot.

This project is less money to spend and easy to prepare. It takes only 1 to 2
hours to finish and I will be doing it by myself.

III. Project Background

The world is facing hard time with COVID 19 virus since last year, far to
resolve. It was believed that virus was originated from Wufan, China and
spread all over the countries around the world unto remote areas. Scientists
and all medical practioners involved themselves in curing the virus by testing
different drugs and herbal medicines to at least slow its action to human body
to prevent from spreading, nor kill the virus. Reports said that COVID 19 virus
is now mutant and becoming stronger once entered our body. The I then
recommend that all people should stay at home, wash hands regularly, boost
immune system and practice social distancing. It’s been six months since the
Philippines was under the different Community Quarantines until recent I
recommendations that all should wear face mask and face shield when going
out. And since the opening of classes is nearly to start, I decided to innovate a
foot operated hand sanitizer for school use.

IV. Project Objectives

This machine was innovated to address the present health conditions of

every individual exposed to COVID 19 virus that resulted to a fatal death of
some if the immune system is weak to combat the virus. This project also aims
to reduce the exposure of viruses and bacteria passes on hands while applying
hand sanitizer/alcohol from sanitizer bottle alone.
V. Project Methodology
The Foot Operated Hand Sanitizer is a DIY simple machine that enable to
address the less contact of individual to the possible virus and bacteria that
causes diseases. This aims to prevent the teachers and the learners being
contaminated by the virus once modules were being distributed and retrieved.
It was believed that during this pandemic, we should take care of our eyes,
nose and mouth since they are the catchers of viruses. This machine prohibits
the virus by passing through the users and is operated by the foot not by hand.
This project supports the I recommendations to provide contact-less health
facilities in school during this pandemic and for general use.

This simple machine could be adopted by district schools or division wide

school use through COVID 19 campaign.
A. Work Breakdown and Task Time Estimates

This simple machine needs only one day labour and takes 1 to 2
hours to complete the task.

B. Project Deliverables

Counting expectations that virus could be kill by using hand

sanitizer regularly aside from washing hands regularly. This deliverable
project will protect the teachers, the learners and the barangay officials
involved in the distributions and retrieval of modules when class starts.
This “in-time” project will warrant the safety of the individuals who are
recipient of this study. This is not only for this pandemic but also
recommended to be used per classroom once face-to-face education is back
to normal.

C. Project Risk Management

The risk of this project was likely a distortion of screws of long time
used and the stand probability to hold its machine but the beautiful in this
machine is that, everyone can manipulate to repair because of the very
simple steps of installation.
